OMG, I saw the family on the news last night and they were devastated that they had not heard from her in 48 hours.

This is truly sad. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

They don't know yet. Because she was from the County and found dead in the City, they have to co-ordinate what they've found. It's technically the City's case, although the County would process any evidence found in the County and share it with them.

I'm confused Is she from Chillum, MD and just went to Randallstown to get her hair done or is she originally from Chillum, and was living in Balto. County when this happened?

Yesterday they said a College Park woman:

Family and friends of a missing College Park woman are desperately hoping for her safe return.

25-year-old Cynthia Mesa was last seen Friday at a Baltimore County hair salon.

She left the Coco Brown hair salon in Randallstown at about 2:30 and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Family members knew something was wrong when Cynthia didn't show up for work at the Red Door Spa in Cross Keys that night.

What a terrible ending for her,and her family.

If she was abducted in Randallstown (and, yes, it hurts to type those words-- too close to home!) I hope her murderer can be tried in the County. I know, we have a new "regime" in place, so there are no guarantees, but I'd rather this crime not become an entry in the middle of a long rap sheet.

The news is reporting that a "dumpster diver" found her phone in Rosedale dumpster.

What the hell is a dumpster diver? I hope they interviewed him in detail and ran his background.

Are you serious? A dumpster diver is someone that rummages through dumpsters to see if they can find anything good or useful. I live in a condo and I walk past our dumpsters ever day and I always look in. People get rid of of things from lamps to computer screens.

Yes I was dead serious. I have never heard it called dumpster divers before; they make it sound like a career.

Anyway, thanks for the information.

I work with a dumpster diver. Once I went out in the field with him and he almost caused an accident because he wanted to pick up some metal rod he saw on the street.

The other moring I was coming in (enter thru loading dock area..tons of dumpsters and construction)..he didn't see me behind him and no one else was around. He was standing over the dumpster. i thought he was gonn ajump in any second. So I scare him and yelled "Get outta there!" Like you would to a cat or something...scared the snot outta him.. hilarious. D is you saw him, you'd still wanna 'interview him in detail' and'run his background.'

this is an absolute tragedy...i saw her family on the news...broke my heart...how very sad for them. thoughts and prayers go out to them.

i...too...hope they catch the scum bag that did this to her. and...hope this goes to a county court. because...if by a slim chance a city jury would convict the killer...a city judge would just give the killer a slap on the wrist.
