i think they were making a huge effort to put all the census info in england available online.
i looked into it briefly but realized with such a common surname i was going to need more information   She couldn't stop crying 'cause she knew he was gone to stay | |

As far as people who arrived in New York at Ellis Island. Was there a counter part of Ellis island in England. In other words was there a leaving point out of England in the 1800's? | |

Yeah I can't afford to pay something like $155 a year for a membership to Ancestry.com. That's why i was looking for anybody that new of any free info on the web. I was hoping for some free census info. Back when they took the Census, families had to disclose family names and places of birth. I was really hoping somebody would hook me up with a free password and orgnote me.
