I would have to know ALL the details before saying whether I would or wouldn't, but I bet someone who has had their child abducted and killed would say it's a good idea...

Apart from the biblical babble, I think some sort of a wearable transponder (belt, bracelet, etc) that uses GPS technology would relieve the anxieties of a lot of parents. Doesn't "LoJack" work something like that?

As I understand it, the newest generation cell phones can provide the location of the user. For some, it will feel like an invasion of privacy, but for the police responding to an emergency call from a cell phone, it may result in a faster response.

Insofar as an implantable device, well it would have to be surgically replaced every now and then due to battery depletion. Even if the device was as small as a pacemaker, it would look and feel big on a child, huge on a baby. The best permanent pacemakers last only 8 years or so. So for an average child, they'd be facing 2 or 3 operations while growing up.

This is really scary. I started working 2 weeks out of high School for Security Pacific Bank. I was 18, the year was 1988. Each month they issued a newsletter focusing on the company and financial bits and pieces. One month I was reading the newsletter and came upon a story about how the US government was looking at different ways of combating counterfeiting. One idea was to issue colored money (i.e. Green 1s, Yellow 5s, Red 10s, etc...). Then I read another idea which involved computer chips. The idea was to program a computer chip with your entire medical/financial/criminal/other history and implant it in your "right hand or forehead". Now the Bible talks about the mark of the beast and guess where it's supposed to be located??? RIGHT HAND OR FOREHEAD!

From a practical standpoint, this is a brilliant idea. Unless someone cut your hand or head off, they cannot steal from you. Genius. I wonder how such a brilliant system will be tied into the Antichrist.

Doesn't this sound familiar to you? The idea of a national ID card has already been tossed around for about 15 years now. This card would have a bar code, and would contain personal information, like finances, religious affiliation, medical history, and any other type of information. Now, with "smart" card technology, they can GPS track these cards simply by typing in your social security number. Alot of people say "well, if your not doing anything wrong then don't worry about it"...well, I am worried, because who will be defining "wrong" ? We already have the slogan "terror" going around as if everyone who doesn't support the US governments underhanded ventures are somehow "terrorists" or sympathizers. Personally, our government needs to look in a mirror when hunting down terrorists, because the US gov't has promoted and initiated acts of "terror" as they call it, for many years now. Now, this isn't some wild conspiracy theory, just an opinion and a thought for forum, so I don't believe anything to be truth until it is proven to me. However, if there is a nation in the world capable to start a biochemical chip injection campaign, it is this nation's government. It could be radio frequency controlled by mainframe, and it could be scannable in stores, jobs, and any other public place. This is a dangerous technology, and should not be used in by US citizens. If you are asked to take such a device, I advise you not to take it. It would be the last choice you ever make for yourself.
