Colbert or Stewart

Personally, I still think John Stewart is consistantly funnier, but Colbert has his moments.

Last night Colbert had Bill O'Reilly on and he lanced O'Reilly pretty good.

I respect what Colbert is trying to do, with the alter ego thing, but i usually tune out after The Word.

The Daily Show is more fun, and I adore Stewart as well as Samantha Bee.

i think colbert is hilarious - one of the funniest people out there - but i think the colbert report is limiting him. on the other hand, i never thought jon stewart was funny until he started doing the daily show, and now i think he's perfectly in his element and that the subject matter of the show feeds his kind of humor perfectly. so, i dunno. both? neither? cats?

I couldn't stand Stewart either before the Daily Show! Now he's like comfort food. And I'm very impressed with how he handles interviewing.

I think Colbert is ingenious. I think he's smarter, funnier...quicker...but I don't always have the energy to participate in the illusion.

I've never watched either one, so I choose George Bush. His crack team of writers are pretty fucking funny.

I don't watch either that often but from what I have seen I think Colbert is funnier because I prefer satire over just funny punchlines.

Not to say that Stewart isn't funny.

Stewart.

Colbert is funny, but his "shtick" is a bit overbearing...meaning all of the jokes comes from that angle. I think it works the best in the interviews and of course "The Word". Don't forget "The List".

Aside from that I find Jon's show more satisfying. Although the current line up of extras is a bit wanting save for Samantha Bee and her husband, Jason Jones (who has finally found his groove). The current batch seems to be looking for the next Colbert, who I feel was part of the best ensemble they had. That said, Colberts "correspondents" don't match up to The Daily SHows luke warm counterparts.
