Share Your Crazy Drug Stories

Did you see God?

Did you think you were dying?

Did you get caught with stuff?

Did you learn something profound?

Did you decide to hold back the Black Album?

Share it all, good or bad!

Did you see God?

No.

Did you think you were dying?

Yes a couple times, I even thought once that I was dead and in hell, and I TRULY TRULY believed it.

Did you get caught with stuff?
No.

Did you learn something profound?

I can understand art if I'm high, if not, not so much. Seriously.

Did you decide to hold back the Black Album?

Wrong forum.

I took acid for the first time in college. UCLA has a sculpture garden, and I walked around trying to broaden my mind a bit. I was still pretty young & unformed. I went from sculpture to sculpture reading the titles and taking them in.

UCLA also is set up like a botanical garden, and the trees are labeled. As I left the sculpture garden I came upon a tree, and stopped to look at it and read its title. That's when it struck me that the tree was art. Then I looked around and noticed that the cars were art, and fire hydrants were art, graffiti was art. Everything was art when you beheld it as such.

I know I was not the first person to come to that realization, but it came (sort of) naturally, and without any previous art history classes. Just an open mind.

I was lucky it turned out well for me. I took it with my friend, and our sober roommate drove us out to the hills to be somewhere natural. But the friend hadn't eaten anything, and the acid started to hit him right away, and did a real number on his stomach.

This led the driver to drive very panicky on Mullholland back toward home, twisting & turning. The whole situation became very chaotic, as I worried that I would be feeling awful, too. My friend felt very ill, and went to bed.

I was on my own for my first acid trip. eek I was very scared, but I felt just fine. When my roomate ate his spaghetti with a spoon rather than simply clean a fork I couldn't get over it, laughing hysterically, and I was off.

Fortunately, my friend had some milk & ate something, feeling better, and later that night I had some much needed company for the 15th hour neurosis.

Spiked drink? I think that's pretty evil. Glad it was okay for you.

I was tripping hard, and I made myself a peanut butter & jelly. Without thinking I grabbed two knives, and tried to spread both at the same time.

Tripping is largely about your state of mind before you take the drug and the situation you're in during.

That is spot on, my first time i spent a good hour in the bathroom watching my face melt and pulse. It was amazing to watch, and not scary at all.

As long as you have friends to keep everything even keel, its a pretty interesting experience.

Did you see God? - No But I saw snake eyes appear in my exposed brick wall. I also saw a little asian woman singing Siouxsie Songs on my TV.

Did you think you were dying? No. Never

Did you get caught with stuff? No

Did you learn something profound? Not really. Maybe that psychedelics allow you to perhaps tap into the parts of your brain you don't use...like telepathy. Oh and theat really crappy pictures that hang on walls, look fantastic under the influence. Oh and that everything that moves involves investigation.

Did you decide to hold back the Black Album? No, but I did discover the magic of Around the World in a Day. The cover was moving, so I had to put it on. I think I put on TBA once and we laughed our asses off with Bob George.

For the most part, it's all been good. I have though experienced OTHERS having a horrible time, which brings everyone down. BTW, I am pretty certain that a "trip" was the offical tipping point for a friend of mine who basically went a little nuts after. Although we had all seen it coming, the drugs pushed him over. He's ok but he had serious mental issues after.

I was in my earlier twenties(21 or 22, it was probably 1986 or 1987) at a nightclub with my friend. We had each ordered a rum and Coke but hadn't finished it and decided to get up and dance for a little while. We came back to our table and finished our drinks and shortly afterwards we both felt really, really weird. Everything was spinning, vision wasn't exactly right, and everything felt like it was in slow motion and I just felt awful.

My friend felt the same way,and then we knew someone must have put something in each of our drinks. By this time I was realy worried and called home ASAP,telling my mom to pick us up as my friend had driven that night. I had a difficult time remembering my telephone number and I think I even asked someone to help me dial it. Whatever it was wore off, this was most likely one of the first times I was really scarred.

I should have known better not to leave my drink and walk away but I always went to this nightculb every weekend to dance and we never had any problems before. HUGE lesson learned that night!

I'll say it again, spiking someone's drink is evil. Truly wrong.

I've heard models say people prey on them--you know, 16 year old girl in France for the first time, crazy parties, etc. They learn to watch their drinks.

Smoked pot twice and that's it. First time was in '97. It made me feel ill. The second time was in '03. Turned out to be one of the worst nights in my life.

My first time wasn't very pleasant, either. I was overwhelmed, dizzy, felt detached. I got used to it, though, too used to it. I had a real weakness for weed.

I don't do anything anymore except a few beers. Over 4 years now.

My worst experience ever was from eating a pot brownie. This was less than a year ago, actually. I had only dabbled in smoking once or twice, as my asthma pretty much takes the fun out of it. I had never had any good experiences with weed before, as it only makes me feel stupid. I'm not much into depressants. Well, I was told to eat an entire pot brownie, and the gentlemen who cooked the oil had put SO much weed into it that I was laughing my ass off within ten minutes. Thirty minutes later, I was vomiting all over the bathroom. Not long after that, I lost my ability to walk or see. I crawled into the garage not knowing where I was and started screaming. Eight hours later, I was able to open my eyes and realized I was in an emergency room, hooked at the wrists to fluids, surrounded by doctors. They said the THC poisoning was so bad that it equalled over 40 marijuana joints. Thank goodness THC can't kill you. That was an expensive ER bill. I will never partake again. It is not for me.

Ecstasy on the other hand...

ooh, I had a terrible bout with extacy. Actually pills & brownies are similar, because you can't regulate the dose as easily as, say, smoking a bowl or drinking a beer.

I've never heard of something like you're describing, but weed is getting more & more powerful.
