Good GOD please tell me this is PMS!!!! I’m not sure. I never keep track of that. But, I deal with idiots every day and they don’t bother me like today. For some reason they are just really bugging the hell out of me.
Some stupid 16 year old had an accident this morning, I try to talk to him to get the details and he’s like “oh well, I couldn’t tell you that. Alls I can tell you is that I was turning towards the high school.” Well, ok, were you going north or south? “uh, um, I don’t know. If I could take you to the intersection I could show you!” well of course you could show me if I was there at the intersection. and look, I know it was icy and snowy out, but YOU were traveling too fast for the conditions, YOU were turning and ran into a car STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN, pretty sure this is going to be YOUR fault. No, fault cannot be placed on the snow. (btw, i didn't say that to him. i was very polite though i wanted to him) Just one example. Ya know what? Talking to his mom, I don’t think she was very bright either. Usually crap like this is no big deal for me, I just think “whatever” and go about my day. Today, I really wanted to reach through the phone and strangle that little punk. More irritations as I was driving home…. Seems that when a little snow falls half the people forget how to drive. No, you can NOT drive the same speed as you do with clear roads and expect to stop in the same distance. Wanna guess how many people almost hit me?? IDIOTS!! then some idiot people who are just inconsiderate of other drivers. God, please tell me this is PMS. so this is fair warning to you all! don't piss me off! There is no perfect place

I fear ignorance is the future! I play Bingo and one time a friend of mine brought her niece that had just graduated from High School and they were really late so my friend gave her niece 2 of her cards to mark out the odd numbers on her last card and her niece looked at me and asked "Which are the odd numbers?"

I used to HATE dealing with people like that. I'd just tell them that the police report will tell me all I need to know.
Then I nail them for every little thing and make sure that I do everything by the book (as long as it makes it a pain for them).

Mine is not PMS- an idiot hit my truck in the parking lot last week- left no note.So I have to pay $500 for my deductible to get my 8 year old truck fixed that needed tires but now will get the drivers side fixed instead.

And maybe you're just sick of your job. it wasn't even that he didn't know the direction, LOTS of people i talk to don't know the direction. i can talk to them, get an idea where they were coming from, get the details of everything that happened and figure it out. then i usually tell THEM "well, that would mean you'd have been going north on Bellevue and the other car came from the South on 9th. does that sound right?" but this kid just didn't want to bother giving me details of what happened! if you could have heard his voice... it was the utter "16-year-old couldn't give a shit" attitude. couple that with his idiocy, and voila! instant "tick-hillary-off"! FREAKING IDIOTS!!!! I am so mad!!!! [Edited 1/22/07 17:11pm] i HATE that!! i deal with shit like that all the time, and i feel so bad for the people who are really gonna have a hard time getting their deductible together, b/c some OTHER idiot did a hit-and-run, or possibly worse (IMO) didn't keep their insurance current. after having this job, i take it as a personal affront when i hear someone say "oh, i let my insurance cancel. i don't need that anyway." IDIOT!! do you have ANY idea the repercussions that will land on you when you hit someone else and you don't have insurance?!?!?! anyways. sorry val. i'd help you if i could. ps- that's one reason i carry a $100 deductible. i'd rather pay more per month than have to come up with $500 at once. because i just wouldn't be able to if that ever happened. Thanks I get mad when I hear people say that too. I am sure I am not the first or the last to have this done to them. It could be worse just really annoyed by ppl's ignorance and lack of respect for other ppl's property. It is always something- that is why they call it life- I suppose. Hope your mood gets better soon Hillary - I think we all go through that- I know I do. I like your pics of the snow btw. I miss playing in it but i do not miss shoveling it. Hope you have a safe winter.

You should move to Sweden, 16-year-olds aren't allowed to drive at all here.
I've only had to talk to an insurance agent once, and that was in Vancouver after I'd hit another car from behind. I knew I probably didn't stand much of a chance since it's nearly always the driver that's coming from behind that gets the blame, but I calmly and slowly explained that this car had suddenly changed lanes without warning and that I'd just clipped the corner. I pointed out that since I was in the left lane and he was changing from the right one, and my damage was on my front right corner and his on his left rear corner, that should indicate that he hadn't established himself in my lane when it happened. Fortunately she believed me and I got $1000 in cash for the tiny crack in the bumper of my $2000 car.
