I love Padangbai, Bali

Chaweng Beach Ko Samui circa 1995 when it was quiet and still a bit out of the way.

This will sound dumb, but I haven't been to many cool places:

Under these 3 radio towers back home across the river from the Naval Academy. They're in the middle of this giant field with tall grass and little dirt roads. A friend and I spent almost the whole night there once. Just laying under them and watching the lights blink.

these aren't the ones but...similar...shrug

This in no way sounds "dumb" you dont have to be a world traveller or even step outside your hometown to have been to a favourite place that's cool

honestly, i've never really truly 'connected' with any location i've ever visited. there are parts of NYC that make me feel really comfortable, and believe it or not, i actually quite like eagle creek park and brown county in indiana...but nothing really lingers in my memory as a "perfect" spot. not yet, anyway...

The Getty Villa in Malibu nod

I haven't been since it was renovated and reopened, but it's been my favorite place since I was little, when I used to go with my family. I love how beautiful & peaceful it is mushy and it's probably why I want to work in museums, honestly lol

I must have passed that place 5000 times before I actually went there. It is an amazing place.

Actually, my high school choir sang christmas carols there once
