I love Padangbai, Bali
and Chaweng Beach Ko Samui circa 1995 when it was quiet and still a bit out of the way.
Also, Darlinghurst near Sydney - I could live there.

Under these 3 radio towers back home across the river from the Naval Academy. They're in the middle of this giant field with tall grass and little dirt roads. A friend and I spent almost the whole night there once. Just laying under them and watching the lights blink. these aren't the ones but...similar... picture edit [Edited 1/22/07 21:59pm] This in no way sounds "dumb" you dont have to be a world traveller or even step outside your hometown to have been to a favourite place that's cool ![]()

honestly, i've never really truly 'connected' with any location i've ever visited. there are parts of NYC that make me feel really comfortable, and believe it or not, i actually quite like eagle creek park and brown county in indiana...but nothing really lingers in my memory as a "perfect" spot. not yet, anyway...

I haven't been since it was renovated and reopened, but it's been my favorite place since I was little, when I used to go with my family. I love how beautiful & peaceful it is I must have passed that place 5000 times before I actually went there. It is an amazing place. Actually, my high school choir sang christmas carols there once My Legacy
