What your favourite place that you've been to?

Show us a picture or two and tell us why.

Mine is Ao Manao, a beach in Prachuap Kiri Khan a few hours south of Bangkok. It's in a national park and is relatively unspoilt.

I like the islands of Samui and Phangan (or how I remember them from 3 or 4 years ago), but Ao Manao is just a great place to take a road trip with family. I've had a couple of wonderful trips with my aunt Toy and my nephew Kay where we swam in the sea, had nice food on the beach and watched the sun set.

So how about you? Of all the places you've been to, which is your favourite and why?

I will add something to this, I just have so many places I adore. I have to pick only one. Its hard.

The Getty Villa in Malibu nod

I haven't been since it was renovated and reopened, but it's been my favorite place since I was little, when I used to go with my family. I love how beautiful & peaceful it is mushy and it's probably why I want to work in museums, honestly lol

This will sound dumb, but I haven't been to many cool places:

Under these 3 radio towers back home across the river from the Naval Academy. They're in the middle of this giant field with tall grass and little dirt roads. A friend and I spent almost the whole night there once. Just laying under them and watching the lights blink.

these aren't the ones but...similar...shrug

the giant's causeway is pretty hard to beat!

some of my family lives in mexico and there are places like oaxaca that i adore.

i havent been much to europe, but there is no place in the world like venice, italy. so strange and mysterious!

ive lived and traveled all over the united states (on tour and on roadtrips) and my favorite cities are portland, or (even lived there for a little while), memphis, tn, tucson, az (home!), and new orleans-- the best city this country has got!

as for future travels, ive been wanting to go to norway. bergen in particular because of a bnd i like being from there (kings of convenience) and they make it seem so dreamy...

I can't pick just one favorite. But my top 2 cities (that I don't live in) in the US are New Orleans (though I haven't been post-Katrina) and San Francisco. Abroad would have to be Florence, London and Amsterdam, though I have a strong affinity to bascially the whole of England.

I loved the untouched wilderness of the Yukon, as well as the modestly populated archipelago outside Stockholm. The Indonesian jungle was impressive too. I guess I gravitate towards natural beauty when I think about my favourite places in the world.
