I honestly stopped paying attention to the news altogether this year. I used to read a newspaper everyday and I gave that up. I'd at least read our weekly alternative paper every week, but I stopped that too. OK, once in a while I'll have NBC nightly news on or something, but usually in the background and I only perk up if I hear somethign that interests me. I'm not sure if this is good or bad yet. lol

And yeah, thevoid just sounds a bit like you're a teenager trying to sound smart and deep. giggle

"Ontological" and "ontic" aren't the same thing. If you are dealing with ontological vocabulary you cannot reserve attributes such as "good" and "bad" to it, unless you are connoting the states of being with them. Fundamental ethics, that are the only area of ethics that intertwines with pure ontology, have no such connations to it. Ethics touch ontology only on categorical time and pure choice. The choice in itself is ontological, but its definitions in the symbolic order are ontic.

Not that different from Buddhist thought, a bit different terminology used though. I'm sure you are more familiar of this thing from a different cultural perspective.

About Thailand. There is a possibility it might be in Jan or Feb of 2008.
Is this going to be a problem?

How about voidbomb777 ?

If we're going that route, then I want to say February. January is a tough month to make plans for me.
hmmm
Putting it off a couple of months could be OK, but now I'm going to have to find another small trip to fit in between. lol And we'll miss the full moon in November when they send all the little candles on boats in the water.

How about donkbomb? It sounds dirty. lol

1) What was your greatest achievement in 2006?

Getting my butt to Japan.

2) What was your biggest dissapointment in 2006?

Not being able to find work after getting home from Japan.

3) For 2007, what do you plan on doing differently? (yeah, it's a open ended question)

I guess I need to be more proactive, whatever that means. shrug

4) Which orger surprised you the most in 2006? Why?

One orger, who I thought hated me, sent me an org note saying she wanted me to make love to her. I can't say who.

5) Which orger can you predict with absolute certainty when it comes to what they post?

Maybe thesexofit. lol
Actually most orgers are pretty predictable. It's not necessarily a bad thing though, it just means that we have strong and consistent personalities. It would be worse if everybody's posts were just random text on my screen.

7) Did you travel anywhere in 2006? If so, tell us about it. If not, do you plan to travel this year?

Japan. I've already talked about that to death.

8) What was played to death on the news?

Baseball. The Japanese won the world championships and after that it was just baseballbaseballbaseball every single second on tv.

9) What should have been covered more extensively on the news?

The Thai coup. It's still a mystery to me how that went so unnoticed and unopposed.

10) Sweet or Spicy (only choose one. Don't be a lame ass and veer from the question's contraints please)

Spicy. Definitely.

11) Mountain and Forest in the morning, or tropical sunset at night?

I'm not a morning person so I'll have to go with option 2. But I prefer the environment in option 1.

12) Promise yourself 3 things- If not too personal list them

Okay.

13) What name should I stick with? Imago, AsianBomb777, donk, or thevoid--for those of you who don't give a shit, if you were to create a new account, what would you name it?

I think AsianBomb777 is more you. Imago sounds like a snooty quasi-artist.

14) Will you be doing more orging, less orging, or just basically the same this year?

I really hope for less!

15) Is the universe good, bad, or nuetral? Explain.

All of the above.
