So dull, so I got pissed off my face with my best mate. Wow, i wish my school was like that. I wouldn't mind trying martini/vermouth aswell. Had Martini in Madrid when I went out for a night with only girls. Had Baileys that night too. Baileys is rough. Martini's quite nice actually. Got me very pissed too. Vermouth's good; really sweet - tastes like that nice cough medicine I had as a kid. Otherwise my school sucks in so many ways it's not true.

The vermouth sounds interesting, but I have not been drunk for many years, though a sip would not do me any harm. Baileys, yeah I quite like that. Dooleys aswell. ur school sounds errr cool. Is it like one of those schools backing off a cathedral where your buildings are 100's of years old? As Norwich, where I live, is very old, there is apart of it, kept from progress, that is like walking into a time warp 100 years ago. They close it at night for fear of vandalism (fair enough). Its quite wonderful. Is your school like that? Steeped in history, nice views etc...?

I only spent time in the cathedral.

One thing US doesn't have over UK is the local ales we get (same with Holland I imagine). Local stuff with funny names from funny places. Iam not an ale man myself, and banana beer was rough, but hey, there is alot of choice. We have lots and lots of microbrews. They're just different, that's all. And you don't get them shipped over to you like the crap mass-produced stuff. |

I've been on the Singha Light beer because I made a half-arsed attempt to not drink for a couple of weeks and this ended up being the equally half-arsed compromise. It's basically 3/4 Singha beer plus 1/4 water.
As for wine? Rosemount Estate Shiraz was always my red of choice, but these days it's not quite as good. Their merlot is always nice though. Also, I love Wyndham Estate's reds if I have a little more to spend. Over xmas I was drinking English white wine, produced by the Three Choirs Vineyard not far from where my parents live, and that was surprisingly good. Us Brits can now genuinely say we produce some good wines.

I always thought ales were a brit thing? I dont know why LOL. Thats cool you have them, and I retract my ignorant statement LOL

Merlot?
http://www.youtube.com/wa..._vGuWYZF2U In the winter-time, or with a nice steak: Barolo, Chianti Classico or a heavy Bourdeaux Summer-time or with fish: Chablis Premiere or Grand Cru, Sancerre or a nice Pinot

Of course, that is not wine Well in North Carolina, way back in the hills Me and my old pappy had a hand in a still We brewed white lightnin' 'til the sun went down Then he'd fill him a jug and he'd pass it around Mighty, mighty pleasin, pappy's corn squeezin' Whshhhoooh . . . white lightnin' Chorus: Well the "G" men, "T" men, revenuers, too Searchin' for the place where he made his brew They were looking, tryin to book him, But my pappy kept a-cookin' Whshhhoooh . . . white lightnin' --- Instrumental --- Well I asked my old pappy why he called his brew White lightnin' 'stead of mountain dew I took a little sip and right away I knew As my eyes bugged out and my face turned blue Lightnin' started flashin' and thunder started crashin' Shhhoooh . . . white lightnin' Chorus: Well the "G" men, "T" men, revenuers, too Searchin' for the place where he made his brew They were looking, tryin to book him, but my pappy kept a-cookin' Whshhhoooh . . . white lightnin' Well a city slicker came and he said "I'm tough" I think I wanna taste that powerful stuff He took one g-g-glug and drank it right down And I heard him a moaning as he hit the ground Mighty, mighty pleasin, pappy's corn squeezin' Whshhhoooh . . . white lightnin' Chorus: Well the "G" men, "T" men, revenuers, too Searchin' for the place where he made his brew They were looking, tryin to book him, but my pappy kept a-cookin' Whshhhoooh . . . white lightnin'... Vermouth's good; really sweet - tastes like that nice cough medicine I had as a kid. i looooove martinis. that's my favorite drink ever. damnit, i'm drinking wine right now and i really wish i'd started with a martini! i make a good martini. (IMO) also looooove baileys, but i get the cheaper irish cream here. it's half the price and still absolutely delicious! i'm drinking a very good cabernet merlot from south eastern australia. of course, i don't really know what that means, it's just what's printed on the bottle. but it is very good for a $6 bottle of wine! There is no perfect place
