the real conversation:
Bella: It's DEAD! Tio Leo said so!
Oscar: No it isn't! It's eyes are still open!
Me: that's cause sharks don't have eyelids!
(lull in conversation)
Wally : Oscar, press his eyes!
Oscar: OK!

Yeah, your trip was horrible, wasn't it? rolleyes

These really are fantastic pictures, Charlotte. Some of the individual ones are brilliant (how do you manage to get the focus and the light perfect in the "action" ones?), but most of all I'm impressed by the overall quality and how well they all complement each other. It's a very difficult art to take a series of pictures that work that well as parts of a whole, but these really do. And not only do they look stylish together, they tell a story! It's the story of your trip, including the entire mood, pace and atmosphere. I can almost smell the barbecue and feel the soft sunrays touching my skin. I'm not kidding.

Despite what you've told me, you seem to have had a wonderful time. I would have loved to be there, trekking through the scrublands (they seem to come right out of a twisted fairy tale) and fishing and telling stories to the kids. I would have felt so relaxed if I were you, even though I understand that the babysitting chores must have been overwhelming at times. thumbs up!

Thank you! touched
I will have to tell you the full story sometime.
If these pics came with audio you would change your mind about the word RELAXING falloff

I can finally see those. They're really beautiful--the scenes, the composition, and your camera. Are you using any filters?

I have a UV filter, but I haven't tested to see the difference it makes (it only fits my wide angle lens and I've always used it)

I like the polarizing filter a lot for outdoor stuff.

Something about the colors on your photos pops off the screen, I thought maybe...
