I'll get my son's father to film my hand writing with his camera the next time he comes over.

The problem is that since we write from left to right in western culture, there's a chance your hand will accidentally smear the ink if you're a leftie. I know my dad has that problem. spelling edit [Edited 1/19/07 6:13am] So I just wrote something and noticed that the part of my hand that touches the paper is lower than where I am writing so that's why I don't smear the ink.

I'm generally left handed for writing, eating, scissors, etc... except when I'm fisting someone, then I use my right hand.

I actually just tried writing with my left hand for fun to see how I'd do. I can print almost respectably, but my cursive looks like a little kid's. I can't even print right handed, much less cursive. a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on

I use both hands for most things
so i am going backwards and forwards all at once that explains so freaking much

I was born a lefty but in school they tried to convert me to a righty- using the explanation that they only had right handed scissors..
So- I find I still do things left handed without thinking about it. I seem to always convert back to the LEFT!

Since I did a handful of things left-handed I decided it would be cool to become comepletely ambidextrous. I gave up after a few months cause it's just easier for me to be right-handed, but I check myself every once in a while. Yeah, I'm a big dork. |

So- I find I still do things left handed without thinking about it. I seem to always convert back to the LEFT! my kindergarten teacher tried to "convert" me to right handed, without telling my parents. it messed me up to where i couldn't tell my left from my right and my mom had to write "left" and "right" on the toes of my shoes. when my parents found out what my teacher was trying to do to me, they went THROUGH THE ROOF. i still have a mild problem with directions, though nothing nearly as bad as it used to be.

lefty here!
funny to see who's a lefty..... My mom, my husband, my son and I are all lefties! I wonder if my son is a lefty because that's all he sees...but, I doubt it. I'm not sure what "underhanded" writing is? My mom turns her paper almost horizontally and cranks her wrist around like crazy. Is that underhanded writing? I don't do either of those things....I just write like a righty but with my left hand. Smudges are a thing of the past ...ink has come along way, but I do avoid felt tip pens and pens where the ink is very wet. "not a fan" yeah...ok

I'm a lefty . There's only 2 of us in my generation of my family and I have 4 nieces and nephews who are lefties so far.
My older sister always hated being left handed but I like it I watched the National Geographic about multiple births the other night and they said that left handed people could be "mirror image twins" whose twin didn't survive and was reabsorbed. That would have meant that my mother had 3 sets of twins.
