if SEX isn't the most intimate thing for you.....

then what is? IMO there is nothing more intimate than sex, even if you try to take your feelings and emotions out of it. it's still the closest you can physically be to a person, sharing ALL that you have (physically).

so if you don't think sex is intimate, then what is intimacy to you?

no, this is different. i'm asking about the comparison to sex itself, and this is between partners, not the friend aspect of intimacy.

Emotional intimacy is more intimate than sexual intimacy. I can fuck someone I just met, if I want to.

so seperating emotion is easy for you? what about physical then? in a relationship do you consider sex as intimate as it gets?

Sex isn't "the" most intimate thing to me

Sex can be intimate if that's what is desired at the time
Sex can also be animalistic and not intimate in the least

so many things on so many levels with different people are intimate

a simple stare
a kiss
a conversation
laughter
tears

hell cooking together can be intimate as can watching TV or driving in a car

watching your daughyer give birth ... breastfeeding her newborn

taking a photo of a friend or love

life is filled with intimate moments

Yeah, I think it would take the rite person, and the rite timing for me to be into it.

I wouldn't try if I wasn't into it at the time.

Hil, as far as the sex being thee most intimate, in my life sex is just maintenance. I love it, don't get me wrong, but it's not intimate.

And in the past, sex has been meaningful, but not really intimate either.

And non meaningful sex, I'm pretty muck incapable of. Unless, its a guy I'm know I'm never ever gonna see or talk to again, I can't handle it. It always MEANS something, and emotions are invovled.

Sex isn't the most intimate. When you can tell your innermost secrets to someone and you trust that somoene with everything you have, that's intimate. I've boned people I don't give two damns about now.
