It's true, it may be the words and the melody that's catching his interest.
You could try recording him singing and playing it back for him.
Encourage this any way you can and call us when he's older. We'll take care of him deal (I'm serious)

I don't think earphones are good for adults either, personally...

Have you ever tried using 'em as buttplugs with the volume turned up all the way?
The music comes out of of your mouth & you can entertain guests at a party.

Hi Erin..I think it is absolutely wonderful that your child has a interest in music !! However, at his age I would tend to agree with others as far as headphones go..maybe a small cd player would be an option that he could listen to in his room and a decent volume level? I completely understand how they can get hung up on just one song and listen to it continously over and over ( been there, done that). But I definately would encourage his love of music music

Ya, I'm starting to wonder about the headphones now. I'm glad I asked about it.

We've got players in my room, the living room and his room. I'll just have to make multiple copies of those songs to put in all of them I guess. I am sure my neighbours are sick of hearing the same songs too. They are pretty bass and kick drum heavy. lol

You may have a little prodigy on your hands. I would read a lot to him and play a lot of rhyming games with him. When he's older have him draw to music and keep arecord of his creative writng.

And remember we've got that deal waiting for him at Magzmctazz records. biggrin

He also loves to be read to and I have been lucky enough to have been able to stay home with him and do all the things you mentioned but I am going back to work next month. sad

I'll have to make sure that my mom (who will be watching him) keeps it up while I am at work.

I don't consider that real music!! mad

All joking aside, expose him to classical and real jazz music, just to see how he reacts to it. He may like the electronic shit because mom loves it.

I know. He loves all top 40 radio too.

Actually, right now we are listening to this:

which has all different types of music.

Oh and I am dead serious when I say this (I think I might have told you this before) melancholy classical music makes him cry. It's like he feels the sadness of the song lol

You know that every time you change your avatar I subconsciously think you've morphed into that person, right? And if someone keeps an avatar for long enough, I get convinced that they look like that at all times even though I should know better. For example, when jersey says something about taking his kids to the movies or whatever, I imagine him doing so bleeding from his face and wearing a friggin hockey helmet. confused
