I really don't have any savings; I couldn't just quit my job tomorrow if I wanted to on a whim, it would take careful planning and saving. And as for traveling and getting a job abroad, it's quite difficult for an american to obtain a work visa, at least in the countries I've checked out. So there's that planning aspect. And I'm also someone who does not have a degree, so it makes it that much more difficult for me to find work with a livable wage. I know it's all not impossible. Having a degree helps for sure, that was a pre-requisite to apply for a visa in Japan for example, but I'm sure it's not necessary in all countries and for all businesses. And you could always start out by studying, and then find a local job, even a black market one, once you're there. Trust me, you will find a way once you get into the country. But I think you probably have easier opportunities than I would, too.
What is that supposed to mean?
I'm not rich, nor do I have an extensive CV. It's hard work to find one's way abroad and it was most definitely like that for me too, but it's without a doubt worth it in the end. | |

I get that feeling all the time during the winter. I've come to realize that it is depression. I'm combating it right now with an increased excercise program and eating healthier. I'm not 100% in the clear, but I'm getting better. Also sleeping an hour earlier every night helps. i bet it's because you drink more coffee during winter. caffeine is the #1 drug in making you feel tired and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |
