mad Why do you think I just told you about my experiences in Canada and Japan? Well the whole point was that you don't need nearly as much planning or money as you'd think. There's nothing to be scared of, things have a way of working out, especially when you're abroad and open to new experiences. That's not just a cliché, it's the truth.

I know that's why you said it. lol
But I also expressed my fear. mad
I really don't have any savings; I couldn't just quit my job tomorrow if I wanted to on a whim, it would take careful planning and saving. And as for traveling and getting a job abroad, it's quite difficult for an american to obtain a work visa, at least in the countries I've checked out. So there's that planning aspect. And I'm also someone who does not have a degree, so it makes it that much more difficult for me to find work with a livable wage.
I know it's all not impossible.

Having a degree helps for sure, that was a pre-requisite to apply for a visa in Japan for example, but I'm sure it's not necessary in all countries and for all businesses. And you could always start out by studying, and then find a local job, even a black market one, once you're there. Trust me, you will find a way once you get into the country.

But I think you probably have easier opportunities than I would, too.

What is that supposed to mean? mad
I'm not rich, nor do I have an extensive CV. It's hard work to find one's way abroad and it was most definitely like that for me too, but it's without a doubt worth it in the end.

In Pozzuoli, Italy with my little niece and nephew.

Pozzuoli may not be the richest city in Italy, but the real wealth is in the warmth & friendliness of the people.

It is my idea of Utopia.

Well then you better do it in August! We did it in March and near froze to death on that open plain. It was the coldest wind chill ever. What a site to see but certainly not nude Ipod weather.

that's what i was thinking too. i immediately backpeddled on the idea
like, oh better make it august, and better make the rain a drizzle...

I've noticed alot of people feeling tired and always wanting to nap.
I get that feeling all the time during the winter.

I've come to realize that it is depression. I'm combating it right now with an increased excercise program and eating healthier. I'm not 100% in the clear, but I'm getting better. Also sleeping an hour earlier every night helps.

i bet it's because you drink more coffee during winter.

caffeine is the #1 drug in making you feel tired nod

God, anywhere but here.

I've got a serious case of wanderlust. I don't do well when I have to spend any amount of time just stuck in one place, doing nothing but going back and forth to work. I really need to either figure out a career that allows me to travel extensively, or take up with a band of marauding gypsies somewhere.

Or pirates.
