Now we get the "F" word! So F now = Faggot
When can we actually say words again? Will all words eventually be regaled to a few letters and grunts? I am actually offended that the are condemning the word faggot. What's next "Q" for Queer? Christian Zombie Vampires

Oh this is stemming from that incident in October where the actor from Gay's Anatomy was "forced" out due to a fellow actor using the slur "faggot"blah blah ginger. Well apparently at the GG, the issue reared it's ugly head again...of course to be rehashed on Ellen... Not sure if it's officially the "F" word now, but the article quotes it and uses it.
From AP - Knight: 'Washington Did Use the 'F' Word' "Grey's Anatomy" star T.R. Knight, who plays Dr. George O'Malley on the show, has labeled castmate Isaiah Washington a liar after he spoke out about the Washington's use of a gay slur on TV. Washington, whose character on the show is Dr. Preston Burke, stunned castmates in the press room at the Golden Globe Awards on Monday night when he grabbed a microphone and insisted he never used the derogatory word on the set, later calling it "vile." But Knight, who was forced to announce he's gay after word spread of Washington's outburst toward him and Washington's subsequent on-set fight with fellow castmate Patrick Dempsey, is eager to set the record straight. During a taping of Ellen DeGeneres' talk show Tuesday, Knight revealed Washington did use the "f" word. The actor said, "He referred to me as a faggot. ... Everyone heard it. ... I've never been called that to my face. "I think, when that happened, something shifted and it became bigger ... than myself ... I could've just let it slide and not said anything but it became important." Knight admits he was stunned when Washington used the word again on Monday night, in an effort to insist he had never used the term. He adds, "He denied that he said it. ... I don't know what to say, really, about that ... but it's pretty bad." Knight's pals are on his side -- castmate Katherine Heigl fought back angry tears during an interview on "Access Hollywood" after Washington spoke at the Golden Globes, and hissed, "He needs to just not speak in public. Period." Christian Zombie Vampires

I think it's pretty stupid. Not that "faggot" is offensive, but the fact that people can't say or write it when simply discussing the issue.

Right? If you give it negative power...negative power it will have. I don't like nor use the word. But I don't want to see it put to just a letter. And besides I think that the "F" word is taken by Fuck. Christian Zombie Vampires

I agree with you, but the problem in this particular situation is, that it appears that he actually did say it. When you use a word like that in a negative light, it's just best that you never use it again even when discussing it or at least not for a long time after said incident and a complete overhaul of your beliefs and behaviors. Not because it's offensive when u use it objectively, but because that is a part of the process of earning back the trust of those involved. That coupled with the fact that he is apparently lying is what has a lot of ppl up in arms. The only ppl who appear to be upset are the ppl he offended, which would be TR Knight and those who care about him and in some ways, the gay and lesbian community as a whole. Everything else is just a report of what happened. I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09
