Err, yeah. boxed I don't do it anymore. Not since I got propositioned and offered money years ago...

But anyway, I did pick up a girl recently on a day there was a bus strike. I was going to IKEA and as it turned out, that was where she needed to go... She knew the US really well and as it turned out, had the same name as me. mad As I was leaving the store, we ran into each other at the same checkout! lol

People still hitch here all the time.

If its someone I know, I pick them up.
(You'd have to understand, you know, the people that ya always see hitching, that the community stops to pick up, like the AMVETS and stuff)

I'd hitch if I had to, but only get in with someone I know, obviously.

When I was 12 I was walking home from school and a man pulled his car over and attempted to grab me and pull me in his car. I never ran so fast in my life.

That scared me enough to never even entertain the idea of hitchhiking.

No need, you already answered all my questions right there. nod razz

Seriously, what did your dad do for a living that brought you all the way over there?
How many years did you spend there?
Did you learn the language?
What's your best memory from your time there?
What's your worst memory from your time there?

It's okay you can answer, Mach doesn't mind, and I'm really curious.

He was VP of Kawasaki Helicopters, a company owned by Prince Naif. He used to be a pilot when they were first getting the Co. started and worked his way up, this was before degree's meant everything.

How many years did you spend there?

7

Did you learn the language?

A bit. Theres so many different dialects though. I had a lot of friends there from Egypt, so thats mostly the dialect I learned.

What's your best memory from your time there?

We used to go to the desert on Fridays (Which is they're holy day, so it's be like a sunday in America. Anyways, we used to spend the whole day at the desert picknicking and riding the quad, and picking stones.

What's your worst memory from your time there?
I'll orgnote ya the worst thing. confused

But the second worst thing, was finding out we had to leave, when Desert Storm started. Honest to God. Best memories of my life. biggrin
