I see it all the time. The kids say they didn't do anything, and the parents, of course, take the side of their kids. Sometimes it's a matter of semantics -- if you say "he smashed my car with his truck!" He might say, "No I didn't," thinking, "it's not my truck and besides I only 'tapped' the car." Maybe in that big truck he doesn't even know what he really did. I don't know. Seems like there's not much you can do. Try not to let it rule your day and mess with your mind. Hopefully your insurance company will help you out if you feel it's worth telling them. Things like this happen all the time in life, and besides, he didn't do it on purpose, did he? Hopefully you can continue going about life like you did before the accident... after you get your car fixed, of course. hrmph

File a hit and run accident-claim-thingie. I think you can do that under the circumstances. I'm not really sure though. I saw it on a Judge Judy episode once and that's all I'm going on lol
I mean, like, where is the sun?

Make a police report then turn it in to your insurance company, just tell them what you heard and what you saw, it shouldn't really matter what your neighbor says (and if you are concerned about bad blood with the neighbors if you do this, just tell the police that it wasn't that way last night, but it was this morning and make no mention of the neighbor kid).

They should pay for it anyway. A few years ago my car got hit in the parking lot and the driver took off after backing into me. Since it was a lease vehicle, I needed it to be fixed, so I went and filed a police report and insurance covered it. They should cover it anyway without the police report, as that has happened to me before as well. I guess I'd call your insurance company and ask their advice. Sorry about your car!

Not much you can do. And the damage probably isn't more than your deductible. This happened to me before, it sucks mad

I think you should back your car into their truck and leave some paint. After you already file the hit and run of course wink

They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
