My mother had "the talk" with me over the weekend

She told me my biological clock was ticking and the we (she and I) needed to go down to the sperm bank. She even told me which race to choose eek She said if I wanted my children to know her and do things with her, I had better get to it because she was getting old. She had casually mentioned this before, but she was dead serious this time. WTF, as if I already don't feel this on my own she just has to twist the knife. I find this amusing and sad at the same time. To hell with my life. She needs a granddaughter NOW!

My sister tried this same thing a few years ago. She even got my nephew into asking for a cousin! My sister has 2 boys and got her tubes tied, so I'm the last hope for a girl lol

I think she's more interested in seeing half of me (or a mini-me). She thinks I'm "something else" lol

Thank you so much hug My mom has been having health issues and thinking about her mortality, so I think that may be a factor. A few years ago, she didn't want me to have children yet

my biological clock is just about done ticking and my parents started bringing this up in the last few years. I figure, if it was so important to them to have grandkids, they should have more than one kid in the first place in case I let them down. Not that my giving childbirth was EVER a priority, I wasn't raised for that and then suddenly at the last minute, they start babbling on about it. lol At least my dad went ahead and adopted a Mexican teenager, hopefully that helps. wink

yeah, when I'm their age, I'll probably regret not having kids. Or not.

lol Awww like the Jolie-Pitt family

My mom is starting to throw grandchildren hints.

It all started when I wore a fake prego tummy to thanksgiving dinner 2 years ago. doh! Big mistake

Now I just start talking crazy to get her off my back. "I bet I will give birth to a serial killer, will you visit him or her in prison?"
"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

My father does stuff like this all the time.

"You know, son, I love you and want the best for you. That said, I think you've never looked happier than with your current girlfriend..."

"Dad, I appreciate that. I do. But, it's still a bit early in the game to be planning on *that*..."

"When I met your mother, I knew right off the bat that she would be the one..."

"Dad, that's awesome. Sadly, it's not nearly as easy, these days..."

"I just want grandchildren, you know..."

"When last I counted, you had FIVE grandchildren. You should enjoy them. Get to know them..."

"I meant I wanted some grandchildren WHO LOOK LIKE YOU..."

"Oh."

My brother has 4 kids, ranging in age from a year and a half to 16, so I've been thankfully spared the pressure as there always seems to be a baby around. lol

I told my mother last week I had watched several clips on the internet of women having sex with dogs, it was a rather casual conversation.

Oh what that poor woman has had to endure by having me as her only child. rolleyes

I visit other message boards than just Prince.org, and the content posted on those ones isn't necessarily the most politically correct. It's important for people to see what is floating around the net. Besides, I already saw footage of women having intercourse with dogs by the age of seven or eight.

It has nothing to with this thread, but I mean, just look at the stuff people post on threads that I have started. confused

My mom has already begun guilting me out, and I'm only 24! Man, it seems like some folks want grandkids more than they wanted children of their own. Maybe they had us just so they could get grandchildren. Hmmm....

Oh, and I've had a woman beg me to bear her son's children, because she wanted dark skinned grandbabies! I was in love with him in highschool, so I would have obliged, but he came out of the closet shortly after graduating. It's been years since then. but his mom still brings up every once in a while.

My mom used to say things like '...who is going to take care of you when you're old...'

I wasn't ready until I was 35 and now I do have a kid. I think having and raising (much more difficult) is the biggest commitment you can have in life.
