Is there any possible way to stop idiots from procreating?

start up a program in which they'll come in to some designated location, tranquilize them somehow, and tie their tubes. and have a sign out front saying "free idiot food" or something; they won't know how to pronounce "idiot", they're just gonna see and recognize the word "food" and be all like "ooh, thar's fud inn that billding. i like fud."

...then again, that won't work. too much time and money and human rights offenses. they'll stop procreating within a few thousand years and cancel themselves out.

over pickle juice.

need surgery which I can't afford

I don't know about your state, but I can say that where you're living may have a large effect on this. For example, I lived for quite some time in Indiana... if you live there and don't have health insurance paid for by an employer, you're pretty much screwed. If there's anything negative in the health information you submit to the insurance company in your application for individual insurance, you'll either get: a) an offer with an unaffordable premium; b) an offer that permanently excludes certain pre-existing conditions; or c) a total rejection. If you get rejected, you can, in theory, get insurance through the state's "risk pool," but the risk pool premiums are unaffordable for many, if not most.

Last I heard, there were four "guaranteed issue" states -- New York, New Jersey, Washington, and Maine -- that forbid consideration of your medical history for purposes of issuing individual health coverage. Your rate is based upon your age, gender, and (possibly) tobacco use. That's it.

The downside of "guaranteed issue" is that premiums are higher, but at least here in Washington state, I think they're still reasonable, and in many cases, the state will pay for most of it through the "Basic Health" program.

I've also heard that my birth state of Massachusetts is implementing a system that's reasonably close to universal health coverage.

I know that packing up and moving to another state is no small thing -- been there, done that myself -- but I do know at least one person who moved to Washington solely because of our health care.

I help this helps somewhat... feel free to contact me if you want more info. hug

Edit: Also, I believe (but am not sure) that in Washington state, pre-existing condition exclusion periods are limited to three (3) months.

Edit 2: Oops... I just realized this is Dansa's advice thread. Didn't mean to step on any toes... sorry.

i'm not sure, as i've never been in a job where i've had to ask for a raise...either i've been in situations where a raise was outta the question (i.e. retail hell) or like now, with my government job. we get raises, but they're so miniscule they don't make much of a difference in pay.

in your case, no. your photos are always along the line of art, and photography's a legitimate artistic form.

how do i decide which cell phone plan to go with..
right now, I have virgin mobile, which is pay as you go..i can put up to $50 in my account, and don't have to put any more $$ until the money is run down...however, it's 10c a minute..
im thinking a traditional plan would be better, but I hate the fact that i have to pay fees each month...
what to do, what to do?

Okay, I have a serious problem. First though I just have to tell ya that I'm a very passive aggresive type person, and I don't do confrontation.

Okay, so me and my husband went on a family plan like 2 or 3 years ago, with my best friend and her husband. (And my friends husband happens to be my hubbys nephew) Okay, so everything was cool for the whole couple years. The phone bill went to her house, and we'd pay her the money every month. No probs.

Well, a couple months ago, our phone bill went over in minutes and texts big time. Well, on the bill, it doesn't show who went over in minutes cuz we ALL have to share minutes. Well, my friend blamed it all on me. She said I went over and owe her 130 bucks.

Well, I called the phone co. and they said we ALL went over in mins and told me by how much. Well here I only owed her like 75 bucks. I told her that, and she was like No uh, you owe 130.

Well, now a month LATER she saying I owe her 265 bucks! WTF????

What do I do? I've just been avoiding her now. But I know eventually our husbands are prob gonna get in a fite, but I don't wanna be involved. I mean I called the phone co. what more can I do????
