Angelina Jolie talking about her daughter Shiloh..

"I think I feel so much more for Madd and Zee because they're survivors, they came through so much. Shiloh seemed so privileged from the moment she was born. I have less inclination to feel for her...I met my other kids when they were 6 months old, they came with a personality. A newborn really is this...Yes, a blob! But now she's starting to have a personality...I'm conscious that I have to make sure I don't ignore her needs, just because I think the others are more vulnerable."

- Angelina Jolie in the new issue of U.K. Elle

How can she say that about her own flesh and blood? I can understand she adopted those two kids and loves them like they were her own, but to say she has a less inclination to feel for Shiloh? Am i the only one that thinks that sounds awful?..and you never see her in public with Shiloh, it's always Brad, Ang and her two adopted children..it's all a bit strange.

I think she's saying it because she thinks people might accuse her of favouring her biological child over her adopted children. I think its baloney, and transparent.

It's strange that she describes Shiloh as a blob. To outsiders, infants might seem like that at first glance but most parents recognize their kids' personalities right after birth, or even before it. At least in my experience. shrug

Being that she's swapped spit with somebody named Billy-Bob & even her own brother in front of the camera for millions to see,
I don't think that recognizing someone's personality is all much of a top priority for her.

She said to Anderson Cooper he was prepared to defend the other two children when Shiloh was born because she thought she would feel different. She said after Shiloh was born, she didn't feel any different about any of them

I think you're right about the potential PR angle here.

But I have to say that parents who claim they recognize their newborn infant's "personalities" are just romanticizing childbirth.

You love your child *and* you grow to love your child and what your child will become. All.

My kid was born with personality. dancing jig

Even in the womb, she might have had more personality than Shiloh will when she's 20.

Some kids got it, some kids don't. shrug

I guess parents project personalities on to their newborns. Personalities are constantly evolving through childhood, but look at your personality, it hasn't changed since you were 6 months old. Strange..

i agree with this to.

i don't see how she feels that her child doesn't have a personality. all three of mine have very different personalities that were evident before they were born and moving around. i dunno, maybe she's not around the kid enough to know her. i'm sure the nanny knows more than she does.

I read this on another site, and the other readers pretty much jumped all over this paragraph in the comment section. I personally don't think it's a good idea to compare your feelings of one child to another, no matter how they came into your family.
