48 Hours Mystery, Why I Hate the Media

Did any of y'all watch 48 Hours Mystery last night on CBS about that college girl in Virginia who went missing a couple of years ago?

Anyway, the guy that killed her was an acquintance of hers (they had a brief romance). They found her body because there was pictures of the secluded area where he put her on his computer. This guy was guilty as sin and his version of the story was that she wanted to be choked out, beaten, and role-play an abduction during intercourse. Her body was violently destroyed and her hands were duct taped behind her. It was gruesome to say the least. He later admitted that his coming up with this story was his move in a 'chess game', so he basically admitted lying.

My beef with all of this is.....why would the media even report such a BS story and put the girl's family through that. The man that committed that crime is free to say whatever he'd like, but the media (CBS) should be responsible enough to NOT give him their platform to make such ridiculous claims. The girl's mother wrote a book called 'Love You More' about her daughter and I'm considering getting it.

Here's the story: http://www.cbsnews.com/st...3113.shtml

How do ya'll feel about this?

i think the boundaries of good taste are often smudged by people who care more about money than about any kind of morality or good taste

take OJ's almost book, for example. how bad an idea was that? who in theri right mind would even PPROPOSE a book like that?

Media always obsesses over any sex related crime. On about half the pages of a tabloid is some story either involving

a) child molesting
b) teacher-pupil sex
c) some sort of sexual related murder

.....

It's bad the media obsesses over these sorta stories, as it gives the illusion that the world is more fucked up then it actually is.

b) teacher-pupil sex

During my schooling years,
I've had some hot teachers,
but I don't ever recall any that were so hot that I'd fantasize about "doing" 'em in the eye.

I had this German teacher who was about 20/21. She was smokin'.

Oh yes, tabloids fucking love talking about computer porn.

"computer porn ruined my husbands life" etc...

Oh and child porn.

"48 year old sales adviser found looking at child porn" or whatever.
