How the fuck does my Martin Luther King Jr. Thread get moved to P&R and some shit that has references to the occult and christianity doesn't puzzling? Hey Moderators, I have a dream, that one day all threads about Oujia Boards that reference the bible and demons get moved to P &R! I have a dream that all threads are moved to P & R with equality.

And yet there is injustice at the least in every religion that I'm aware of. How many female buddhist monks are there again?

Ding! Ding! Ding!

You know what's weird, I was talking to someone last month who said their friend met a Buddhist NUN on a trip to India. I had no idea there even were Buddhist nuns.

I've gotta say, that I'm proud of those who are willing to express their beliefs and opinions in a civil manner, without putting others down. I guess it is possible to talk about religion without turning the convo into a screaming match. Sometimes, it can just be a learning experience. cool

Good point. I guess both sides think the other is wrong and therefore negative.

Did I saw Catholics are extremists?

No.....

I said I think soem of the shit they do is fucked up.

IE. Praying to false God.....The Hail Mary.

Promoting Gambling by having Bingo in the church hall.

Blah blah.

Well when the Koran was first written is was a lot more peaceful thean when the Wahabis revised it to 'promote terrorism' of non muslims.

You really should question what you're taught to believe, or at least listen more closely when you're being told what to hate.

The Hail Mary is not a person, a god, or any other sort of entity - it's a prayer. The thing to which you refer is usually called Holy Mary, or The Virgin Mary by catholics and they do not worship her as a god, false or otherwise. They believe her to be the mother of Jesus, by immaculate conception (hence the 'virgin' bit), and as such they revere her and pray to her. Catholicism is very clear on this - there is only one God, and here's where it gets tricky - there's three of them - God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit (the spirit of Jesus when he ascended to Heaven), but they're all part of the one God - the Holy Trinity. Confused ? biggrin Me too.

I wouldn't get too stressed about church halls being used for bingo, the Roman Catholic church gets up to much worse shit than that - the P2 bank fiasco for instance.

but seeing that most people wouldn't even be alive today (and even communicating like this) if it weren't for logical, methodical technology and knowledge, I would have to choose direct observation and proof as the positive thing to put faith into... which is why I'm so dissapointed that I have never witnessed a oujia board really working (alone, with others, after invoking demons or ghosts, not any way....)

Stymie

I just read this whole thread in one sitting and it is the funniest thing I have ever read on here. lol

How it got religious is way beyond me but the fact that a lot of the religious talk, with relatively few exceptions, is from folks who not only use the word God and an expletive in the same sentence but also contains some of the same folks who talk about all kinds o' stuff against what the Bible teaches. Please cut the crappola. lol

I may be a heathen but I am never gonna put the 'f' word in a sentence with God.

There is also just kinda blatant disregard for people's beliefs as a whole on here but, such is the Org, so I don't expect any better. lol

My thoughts: I believe there is a God and I believe the Qujia board is just a game. For the people who believe otherwise, I respect you feel that way but I wholeheartedly disagree.

This thread is so freakin' ridiculous. lol

No, I'm not confused at all, but Thanks.

I feel that praying to Mary, even though she's the mother of Jesus, is Idol worship, thats all.

I have NOTHING against Catholics, I just don't believe in doing that.

Sorry, but I don't see a blatant disregard for people's beliefs in this thread at all. Maybe one or two snuck by me, but in general this conversation is interesting and very civil and respectful.

It's certainly more civil than some of what goes on in P&R. I am pleasantly surprised.
