No Christmas is about presents, buying things, and glitter. nod And eating and drinking too much and being obligated to send stupid cards to people you hardly know. nod

Well, thats what I think. Like I said, it's not likE I have stats but I'm pretty sure most of the people celebrating, believe in Jesus, therefore, if it wasn't for that, I'm sure Christmas, wouldn't be as big of a deal as it is now.

Go ahead and result to "whatever" and an eyeroll.

All that is, is a way of saying, I don't know what else to say to prove my point.

no, when you dismiss others with that stupid statement, that's not knowing what else to say. Me rolling my eyes is admitting defeat to an ignorant discussion with you. I know plenty to prove any point I have.

Yeah, it's pretty easy to google stuff when you need proof.

So what are you celebrating when you have Christmas?

Jesus' birth or Winter Solstice?

I'll guess and say probably neither, your just doing it cuz thats what we do. Nothing wrong with that.

What I was so ignorantly saying is that, I don't THINK Christams would have held on, like it did, or became what it did, if it wasn't for adding Jesus into the mix.

You probably have a point. I mean, there are many ignorant people on this planet...and many think xmas is all about Jesus.

again, what you said exactly was "Face it, if it wasn't for Jesus, Christmas would be long gone."

That's the only part I was referring to. And to say that is extremely selfish. To think that the almighty "Christianity" made it what it is is silly. Like someone else posted, believe it or not, there are millions of people that don't subscribe to that belief.

And I don't google shit and act like I know what I was talking about, it was simply a link to help people read a DIFFERING opinion.

See, thats the thing. I don't go around calling people who believe something, other than what I believe, 'ignorant'.

Christians choose to celebrate their Savior's Birthday. I don't see what is ignorant in that.

Ignorant just means that one is not educated on a subject. It's not an insult.

Okay I see your point with the "If irt wasn't for Jesus" comment. I could have explained it nicer.

And like I said, and I think a lot of people would agree that Christmas wouldn't have held on, and been what it is today if Christians hadn't have added Jesus to it.

Anyways, EFS, if your a Christian, don't use the ouija board, if your not, knock yourself out.

Actually, there was great stress in the Levitical sacrifices of unblemished livestock to God in Old Testament days.

If the priest wasn't right with God, he stood the chance of not making it out of the inner court of God's temple alive.

For that reason, priests went in with cord attached to them, so they could be dragged out, if that happened.

Now, that's stress.

lol Sorry.

On balance, I was a vegetarian for more than a year...

So, Catholics are extremists and Protestants represent the true faith? Which Protestants?

Are you not picking and choosing those parts of the Bible that you choose to believe?

On what basis are the extreme Muslim's interpretation of the Koran "wrong?"

Did I saw Catholics are extremists?

No.....

I said I think soem of the shit they do is fucked up.

IE. Praying to false God.....The Hail Mary.

Promoting Gambling by having Bingo in the church hall.

Blah blah.

Well when the Koran was first written is was a lot more peaceful thean when the Wahabis revised it to 'promote terrorism' of non muslims.

Mate, that statement is actually wrong.

Well then you can say that about the bible too.

Let me look, but I know theres stuff in the Koran that says

Don't harm them if they don't harm you.

And stuff like that.

The Bible is filled with stuff like that too.

My point was more aimed towards the "..first written.." and "..revised..",

not on it's message. Apologies, I may not have been clear on that.
