I cannot caution people enough to not mess with Ouija boards.

They're not toys, but they're portals through which evil spirits have been known to possess and oppress human beings.

When someone becomes reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, they receive His Holy Spirit as an indwelling seal of God's salvation. The name of Jesus Christ, His holy word (the Bible) and His redeeming blood have been time-proven tools against spirits of darkness.

But someone who isn't a Christian and who dabbles in the occult -- whether through a Ouija board or some other practice -- is really setting themselves up for torment from evil. It's like lying down in front of an oncoming train while asking if you're in danger.

Don't mess with Ouija boards.

Please.

No need to edit, amigo. A number of people have laughed about the apparent harmlessness of the boards. You're not the first.

A number of folks may even disbelieve that the spirit world exists. You see the ravaged lives of the demon-possessed or demon-oppressed enough times, you begin to put two and two together.

Let's say there's a god and that there are "spirits of darkness" as you call them. Then explain to me why God would protect Christians if they decide to mess with those spirits. If they know what they're doing is wrong, then why would God protect those people? Shouldn't they know better than to fuck with them in the first place? confuse

I think you'll find most Christians don't play with Ouija boards. There's risk for all people who do, born again or not.

Christians (those reconciled by Christ unto God through their belief in His atoning sacrifice and resurrection) are declared righteous because God sees Christ's blood covering them. As such, we are protected and declared off-limits to evil. Evil spirits still attempt to hinder or afflict Christians, but rebuking them the same way Christ did with the devil during His temptation in the wilderness (with the Bible) works.

There are ways to reverse the demonic oppression or possession. The Christian aspect comes into play in that reminding a spirit of its trespassing (with regard to a Christian life) can only be done if that person has left the dominion of darkness by accepting Christ as their Savior.

The distinction I was raising had to do with the spiritual position or status of a believer versus a non-believer. Christian, off limits; non-Christian, fair game.
