I just got back from some late afternoon/night snowboarding!

Boy was it loads of fun! We haven't had fresh powder up here in a minute and it snowed today. I took off to the mountains as quick as I could from work and snowboarded for 5 hours. Loved it! You should all go snowboarding one day!

I've been skiing every year since I was three years old but I didn't try snowboarding until I was in my mid twenties, and boy did I find it difficult! I kept falling and falling and my body was so bruised... And then suddenly I realized that the bindings were set for regular foot, which is the opposite of how I used to stand on a skateboard back in the day. So I had them switched around and suddenly, as if somebody had waved a magic wand, I could go down the steepest slopes with no trouble at all. It's amazing how the brain can remember old habits and how difficult it can be to re-program it sometimes.

you can learn to snowboard in only 3 or 4 days, learning to ski is a lot more difficult!

I learned to ski in one lesson. lol

I think both are easy to learn the basics, and they both take much more work to learn to do well.
