the only drawback?
casting Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane.my personal pick would have been Courtney Cox-Arquette.

thumbs up!

I was telling everyone this exact same thing. She would have been *perfect*.

Yeah, if she could act at all.

To me, Margot Kidder will always be Lois.

IMO, this movie has a lot of the same problems that X-Men 1 (also directed by Singer) had..it's slow, they feel the need to explain too much to you, and some of the casting decisions leave something to be desired. Hopefully, if Singer directs Superman Returns Again (or whatever they decide to call it) it will be as big of an improvement over Superman Returns as X-Men United was over X-Men 1. All that said, I liked Returns. I thought Routh was perfect as Kent, and Spacey's Luthor was a logical continuation of the Lex Luthor from the films. I think the "Son Of Superman" thing could be cool, if they're careful. It could either kick butt (I mean...the films would have their version of Superboy), or be the cheeziest lamest thing ever, it will all depend on how how good of a story is written for him.

There were some great scenes particularly the airoplane scene and when he taked Lois up into the skys and here's the voices crying out from Earth. I thought it was flawed in the scence I didnt feel that Superman was under any real threat and thus the film lacked tensity.
