Accents in the English language My siblings and I were discussing different accents from around the world in the English language, and since we saw a foreign TV show today we wondered if foreigners can easily understand the American accent(s) and vice versa? I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

and it's not so much the accents that are hard to understand, but rather the slang.

Its hard much harder to differentiate between Australians and the English. Americans Ive found are really loud and its easy to spot a Canadian as they are more quieter and reserved to an extent.

All native english accents (aussie, american, etc) are easy to understand to be honest it's just they convey different things to me. East Coast America is loud and well-meaning but potentially fucking annoying. West Coast America is just shit. Aussie girls sound like they like it dirty. Canadians sound geeky. English sound stuck up. Northerners have the coolest accents.
