I know its not *really* the end of the world BUT.. .. damn I broke a nail! 
Just got them all looking real nice, a decent length, gorgeous sexy nails and one goes and breaks on me.. what a fucking bitch! 
Now I gotta file down all my beauties to the same length.. 
When you break a nail, what do you do? Oh my day is ruined now!

take up mandolin. you need really short nails to play it. like that, you keep 'em short and don't have to worry about them breaking.

I did my first time ever this fall, to an audience full of performers. Normally I get nervous singing in public, but have a micro stand to grip and that keeps my hands from shaking... however, when I needed my hands to mandolin, I had nowhere for the shake to go but my voice!  I've only been playing for about a year.
In the end, I was happy with my playing so I'm not scared anymore. Today I have a song to finish for this weekend, it's for friends who are going away. I've written lots of songs and one of these days I'll feel confident enough to play & sing 'em all, I suspects... | |
