archipelago's "havana" is my favorite candle scent. bergamot and tobacco, and i think it might have some cloves thrown in as well. very nice smell, like an old library.

Now where do you find Egyptian musk? That sounds good.

I found it in a store in the city called Illuminations.

Don't think I'll be goin' to NY any time soon...I've just never seen
a musk candle anywhere, but maybe I'm not lookin' hard enough.
Thanks tho...I'll have to keep my eyes open. cool

Probably about five years ago I purchased some really unusual but beautiful scented candles, Green Tea And Cedarwood. It's basically a "tranquility" candle by SPA Scentsations, purchased from Sears. They came is colbolt blue glass decorated with Japanese symbols.

I've seen this one at Sears...it smelled wonderful, but I didn't buy it.
Now I'll have to do so...thanks.

Patchouli is another of my favs...I think probably they sell some form of
that there as well. All those Scentsations candles are a combination of
a couple of scents if I'm not mistaken.

i like this candle because i can light it if i'm having a coffee craving but shouldn't be drinking it (like at night), and the whole apartment smells like a fresh pot of coffee...and sometimes that's all i need.

Actually that's the same reason I burn coffee candles...it seems to take
care of the craving, you're right.

I love YANKEE CANDLE COMPANY's MIDSUMMER'S NIGHT.A provocatively masculine scent, mysterious, powerful, and energizing.

This one's for you.

Thanks to everyone who responded. You all gave me some new candle scents to try.

I embarrass my mom when I'm out shopping with her, and there's scented candles around. I always pick them up to sniff them, see what they smell like. My mom always says to me, "Why do you do that?!" Can't help it, before I buy a scented candle, I want to make sure it's something I like. Otherwise, I just won't buy it. lol
