FOOD IS GOOD! (what are you eating now?)

I've noticed that many people tend to eat one or two types of food at a given time, along with what ever else they eat as a regular diet. Sometimes this might be a peanutbutter and jelly kick, or something like that. What foods are you going back to time and time again lately?

For me it's cottage-cheese on toast. You really should give it a try.

I like to get the toast all crispy, so that it will stand up on its own.

I scoop a couple of heaping spoonfulls onto the dry toast and spread it around thick.

The contrast between the cold wet cottage cheese and the warm dry toast is quite a pleasent experience. It's also very healthy and hearty.

I've been eating that for breakfast for nearly two weeks now.

What about you?

A cough drop.

I've had a sore throat for like 3 months now.

I'm starting to think it's a problem.

I was even gonna post it in the advice column.

There was a very bad flu this year. It sticks to the upper respitory system and in the throath. Quite bad.

How is that? Why? What is it you percieve? Do you think you associated it with something that has happened to you?

It may sound weird, but it's one of my own creations. I just had ground turkey stir fry tacos. I made an Asian stir fry with ground turkey, napa cabbage, sweet onion, crimini mushrooms, fresh garlic, cilantro, green onions, a splash of fresh lime juice, and some soy sauce and sesame oil. I then put it in small soft taco shells, and garnished with some more cilantro. Very tasty indeed.

No problem, I travel. thumbs up!

You're young, right? You probably have mono. The sore throat will go away soon, but you're gonna feel tired for a while. Eat well and get lots of rest.

Oh, wait, 3 MONTHS? I was thinking 3 weeks. Go see a doctor. lol

I think my best bud is gonna bring over some grub later, though. I'm going to ask him to stop and get veggie potstickers. Nums. smile

"kick" lol

my dad used to go through these "phases", carrots, tuna, atm it's green tea lol I thought it was cause he is a bit strange, so other people do this as well?

hmmm mine can go for years

Like everyday at lunch I would have a turkey, eggplant and satay sandwich. Then I switched to tuna and tabouleh after about a year. I would seriously crave this thing, but one day it would stop and I would want a totally different thing eek

I was also like that with tofu, HAD to have it. Now I can take it or leave it, and have it about once a week.

drool That sounds yummy!

I've been on a kick lately where I have soup and a piece of French Baguette bread for lunch, and a grilled chicken caeser salad for dinner. Been doing that for awhile now, but it's so good.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

My boo brought me my veggie potstickers and some "tofu prawns", which are basically soft, crumbly -- almost fluffy -- tofu, wrapped in a tofu skin and deep fried so they're really crunchy, in a tangy tomato sauce with carrots and peas. Nummy num num. First real food I've had in a while. Num.
