Ooohhh.

Well, probably 'cause you're brother outted you as a non-relative, you won't get a call. Sorry. Otherwise, I was gonna say probably Tuesday. Tuesday is one of those good in-between days for returning calls and such.

Yeah, my price-range has dropped. pout I either need to buy a new car or something for under, like, $2000. And fast. It's gonna get cold enough within a few days that my car won't start. I'm gonna be on the bus very, very soon in the FREEZING cold.
I thought a car loan for a mid-range would be easy, but no one wants to finance anything (for a reasonable interest rate) but a new or close to new car.

I just have to get off my ass make a decision and do it. I'm just sooooo scared. If I go with a new car, it effectively changes my life as I know it. No more trips. I really won't be able to afford much of anything for a few years and I hate the idea of giving up the things I like most in life for something I could care less about. I hate cars.
But if I go the cheaper route, I could find myself back here again quite soon.

I hate money and cars! I hate making decisions! I hate being an adult!

ok, that's enough.

See, I really didn't want the advice. I just wanted to whine. giggle

Some of those were under 2k, actually.

I know, financing used cars is hard. It sucks.

Here's a thought. Do you think you still want to get back to school eventually? If so, I'd say get the old 2k car, know that it won't go forever, continue to travel and live it up for a while, and then commit to school (which isn't that hard to finance). Your cheap car might die while you're there, but you could probably be carless while you're in school.

If you've decided not to do school, take the leap and get yourself a really good new(ish) car. Your location and job make it damn hard to live without one. Eventually you'll be making more money, you'll pay it off, and you'll get back to your fabulous life. And you'll have a good car that you can maintain and keep going foreva.

Oh, wait, I just got to the end, you just wanted to whine. Sorry.

Money sucks, and cars suck extra hard. Sorry. comfort

Thanks, but the school angle just brings a whole 'nother thing into it. lol I have such a horrible tnedency to drag my toes around things and I just don't make committments to be miserable in the short term for the long term goal. I have no discipline. I need to learn some.

And I saw that a few were cheap. biggrin And I think that's what I have to do. I just have to do it quick!! Hopefully by this time Saturday I'll be drivin' a new car!

Don't blame your Mom to much! Her disease is doing alot of the talking.

I have seen the same situation time, and time again with those afflicted with Alzhiemers.

Such a horrible disease.

The worse the disease gets the more intolerable the individual.. Be thankful for the good times.

rose Oh I know, at this time I dont blame my mom for much at all...after all she isnt my Mom really ( you know what I mean ! ) she is the walking dis-ease.

It is sad and tough, though being a daily caregiver for her over the past 5 yrs i have learned much ...the alzhiemers support groups and association are a help

I am always thankful daily for each blessing that comes into my life

thank you for you words of support hug

the windows of reality and logic are very small and any input at anytime can confuse her

her brain misfires and crosses information in very strange ways and often

she is much like a confused small child and like i told Melissa ... i really dont need to make her understand because it is almost pointless ( she would forget the convo within 3 minutes or sooner ) I just sometimes wish she would not put all the blame for everything she sees bad in her life outwards, like on my dad

exmp. she chose not to drive ... and was always driven round by my dad, her friends, of us children

and now she complains often everyday ... that she cant go anywhere

just things like that

really I guess for me...it's just a way for me to learn and see how the choices i made / make will help or hinder my older years

I feel kinda bad lately. Cuz I've been thinking...
well... ya see my school is split in 2, CBG (center-based gifted) and regular ed.
First off I feel like a nerd, not that that bothers me but, it's just a nugget of info since I'm in the CBG program...

The prob is, CBG generally cosists of, well, white people. And since I'm hispanic-asian I feel racist for not having any other friends of different races due to my environment...How should I solve this issue? Cuz I really due feel a bit guilty for having so many...white friends....

Do you mind for your own sake, or just because you're worried about what other people will think?

If it's just about other people, screw 'em. That's their issue.

But if you feel like you're missing something by not having more diverse friends, are there any sort of activities outside of school that you could participate in that would be more diverse?

I know how you feel. When I was young I had a pretty diverse group of friends. . .Korean, Vietnamese, black, hispanic. . . and then I moved to the sticks for high school and I felt guilty 'cause all of my friends. . . hmmm . . .yep, ALL of them where white. But that's 'cause you could count the non-white kids at my school on one hand. Wasn't my faut, and it was dumb to feel bad about it. Now, I'm an adult, and my friends are more diverse again, but I care a lot less. If you've got good friends and you're happy with them, be glad for them and don't worry about it. shrug

Does that still require talking to people though? I don't like the way phones ring and demand that you take action rather than walk away and pretend you don't hear it. Also, I don't really like people all that much. It's not that I hate them, I just don't see what all the fuss is about. Can't I just wave at the phone or something and carry on with what I'm doing?
