Use those nightmares and turn them into posts. It's cathartic and fun. nod

Yeppers, I like to watch anything medical. The only time I had a problem was when we were watching hip replacement surgery. Seeing people cutting into live bone bothers me. They had to cut and grind the bones into shape and then drill holes through them. There were a few times it was hard to watch but it was edumacational so I did watch it all. biggrin

Yep I'll agree about hip replacement surgery making me a bit uncomfortable. My mom had hip replacement surgery and they gave her a video of it to watch before she had it done. So were watching it and I said why would they want you to see this before they perform the surgery. I would have said no way after seeing that! lol

The other night I was eating some food and TLC was on with a paralized woman giving birth and for some reason I just couldn't watch all of it. The baby looked grey and the blood on it and then they cut the woman and there was more blood and I had to throw away the rest of my food. lol I lost my appetite.

Now I can watch any horror movie and not freak out or feel sick. I think they don't bother me because they aren't real. On the other hand I've also been in a morgue and watched part of an autopsy. I was actually fascinated by it and what they do,and the weighing of the organs, stuff like that. I was able to see a section of the skull cut open and the brain exposed,as they were looking at the hematoma that killed the young man. It's scientific and not gross/gory. It was fascinating but I sometimes wonder how people can do that job every day and not let it get to them. I would think at some point you might break down.

no way. i can't even watch the fake surgery on those medical crime shows or on nip/tuck. i have to turn my head. gore is skanky unless it's so cheap and fake and over the top that i can laugh at it for what it is. that i don't mind.

I agree...real surgery-type gore is disgusting, but "Kill Bill" style gore is nothing.
