Only fools and horses is still a classic!

http://www.youtube.com/wa...LYvSWJUBb8

Classic clip. Britain fucking ruled sitcoms in the 80's. Only fools, bottom, young ones, spitting image.....

what did the US have?

Cosby show- so so corny and s-l-o-w moving
golden girls- never got why the audience were laughing?
cheers- best of the obvious big ass sitcoms back then.

If any US people like the look of "only fools...", then please get hold of the DVD's/VHS's. The 2 lead characters have surprising amount of depth for a sitcom. It helps if the acting is awesome of course

Anyone like this show? Its worth a look.

Yeah it is. If it were white folks, u'd call it corny. Cosby can be funny, but the show looks naff now and its too unrealistic (which would be fine if it didn't take itself so seriously at times)

Its nice to see black people not being stereotyped, but it doesn't make it an entertaining show.

"different world" was better.

That's was same conclusion I came to with this show:

Except, I'm referring to little girl robots instead of black people, of course.

It was totally funny.

Anyone who grew up in a family with several siblings found it very funny. The funny shit that happened had nothing to do with race and had everything to do with parenthood, sibling rivalry and family.

I grew up with several siblings and I never found it very funny. It was just too corny, even as a kid, I'd rather watch "fresh prince of bel air" or even "hangin' with mr cooper" (which had the same kid, who put out a rap album, anyone remember?). I just found everyone lacking in personality and pretty dull. Not as bad as the shit like "everyone loves raymond" (mother in law jokes- ho ho ho, how funny), but i had no idea everyone loved it so much. Must be a nostalgia thing.

It was silly when they got the new kid in. But then, all shows get tired after a while.

Yeah, thats what it was called wasn't it?

Of course, iam a blossom fan, but can see the cheese dripping off the camera's and its goofy. Cosby was just corny. Iam a Joey Lawrence fan of course. I wish they'd show beverly hills 90210 again, that was a fun show.

I never watched any of those shows. I gave them a chance once or twice but thought they were terrible.

Its all nostalgia. I only like a few select tv shows really. I wish they'd show "wayans bros" again.

Yeah, i quite like Cheers. The characters are well rounded enough to care about them. The ones after that old dude left and Kirsty Ally came in, were better. That blonde English chick was awful.

"Moonlighting" is OK, but then, Bruce's forte is that sorta comedy.

? Rosanne is quite good actually. What was the one with Christina applegate? She was one of my first crushes. "dont tell mom the babysitter's dead" was watched by my older sis about a zillion times LOL

Yes, mainstream america doing some satire was odd. Same with "rosanne".

Best thing america ever did was "the simpsons". No show, in my book, touches "the simpsons". Not even close. I hear the UK prefer it over the US in general.

i was going to say simpsons, but i tought it would get dismissed for being animated instead of a traditional sitcom
