You also shouldn't watch movies you've already seen or listen to albums you've already heard. Total waste!

smile I think Seinfeld is one of the greatest shows ever. So watching it 3-4 times a day is normal imo.

Television like film and music recordings can be works of art and there's nothing wasteful about viewing them repeatedly. You keep on keepin' on sister. smile

Wow.

I guess that's my thing with it. Once in a while? Cool. I mean, I don't listen to Parade EVERY DAY, you know? I might re-watch Edward Scissorhands once per year. Fine. But I know people who really do watch reruns EVERY DAY. Just seems like giving up a lot of your life to one type of experience that, imho, is kind of limited.

If someone watches the same episode 3-4 times a day then there's something wrong there. However there's over two hundred from which to choose. If you mix them up that isn't so bad.

Our local FOX station shows 'The Simpsons' maybe three times a day here.

Never watched it in the first place. The characters just pissed me off too much.

But I fucking loved Jason Alexander in Duckman. Why do all the good "grown up" cartoons get cancelled so quick? sigh

Surely you jest. If you believe that, you must not own any albums or movies. Or you give them away as soon as you take them in.

One could make the argument that art itself is a way to waste time until you die, so what does it matter?

i can still watch old dennis miller weekend update skits on SNL reruns and enjoy them, even though he's turned into a bitter arch-conservative turd with no sense of humor about his politics. i loathe him now, but he was pretty funny back in the day. same with kramer. i didn't know he had issues then, and the show was about more than him. therefore...

No. I do like the show. I thought I would get into the DVD's more. But stopped getting them after Season 4. Since they are in reruns, I can watch them anytime.

As I have said before i can understand why black people would have a problem with the show now. I'm white and it bothers me watching it, I feel as though i am being disloyal to my values in a way.

Even though if you have read my past posts, its obvious I enjoyed the show being able recall Bookman's rant off the top of my head.

I'm a firm believer in equal rights for everybody across the board and that means gay people as well and I do think its bullshit that this country will not allow gays to marry(but thats another thread) i have long said gay people have as much right to be miserable in a marriage just like everybody else.

However Micheal Richards must have put a terrible burden on the creators of Seinfeld as well as jerry, julia, and jason. I have met Jerry before he is really nice and genuinely funny some comedians when you met them their personality's are in direct contrast to their stand up comedy. Jerry seems to be just a generaly funny guy and Jason was nice at least he was when I met him.

It would be interesting to know what Jerry and the creators must have said to richards behind close doors they must have been like "What the Fuck?" it would have been an interest conversation to easdrop on.

If you watch the outakes and bloopers on the dvd's Richards does come off as an asshole i noticed this early on he tends to get mad at julia alot for laughing in the middle of a scene. I mean some the lines on that show were funny it would be hard to deliver some scenes without cracking up.

Lets not forget when Richards was on Laugh In back in the late 70's and early 80's he almost kicked and Kaufmans ass for destroying a scene on a show. Richards needs to lighten up big time its fucking comedy anything can happen if he didn't take himself so seriously he might still have a career because after his comedy store tyraid his career is over.
