well my fav on the show is Elaine so i still watch it (i have all the dvd's)
but indeed, you can't stop thinking about all that shit when Kramer comes in
sliding through the door again.

I'm currently watching my Season 7 set. The Michael Richards affair hasn't spoiled my enjoyment in the slightest.

Having watched him (the actor) in the featurettes, he came across as a fairly humourless individual anyway, so I wasn't a big fan before the proverbial hit the fan.

That's my tuppence!

I just cant do it anymore. Bad Kramer totally ruined it for me. Thankfully, Scrubs has stepped in to fill the void.

Right after the affair I couldn't watch it anymore. But I'm too much of a George fan to never watch it again.

Oh my gawd, people, WHY WOULD YOU SIT AROUND WATCHING RERUNS ANYWAY?!?!?!?! There's a WORLD out there. There MUST be something better/funner/richer you could be doing with your time! Richards? Ok, I'm done.

I find that, because it is fresh in my mind, that I have a hard time connecting to it when Kramer shows up. Reality just intrudes over it. Eventually, I'm sure I'll be able to see it and not think "there's that racist dill-hole again", but not right now.

I've actually heard, from a reliable person, that Jason Alexander is a total dick, and I was aware of this while the show was still first-run. It was the same deal there for a while, but now I can watch it and enjoy the George Costanza character.

For what it's worth, Jerry Seinfeld is said to be a great guy.

It's still one of the funniest shows ever. Each episode is fantastic. I will always be a fan of the show.

The only thing that doesnt sit right with me is the non-ethnic displays of George Costanza. He's supposed to be italian, but shows NONE of THEIR idiot-syncrasies.

Yeah. Michael Richards ruined it for me! i get pissed when the run commercials for the show and he's in them. i can't stand the sound of his voice since his little outburst. i would sincerly love to punch him in his fucken mouth.

what i can't understand is that paul mooney came to bat for michael.

Television like film and music recordings can be works of art and there's nothing wasteful about viewing them repeatedly. You keep on keepin' on sister.

As I have said before i can understand why black people would have a problem with the show now. I'm white and it bothers me watching it, I feel as though i am being disloyal to my values in a way.

Even though if you have read my past posts, its obvious I enjoyed the show being able recall Bookman's rant off the top of my head.

I'm a firm believer in equal rights for everybody across the board and that means gay people as well and I do think its bullshit that this country will not allow gays to marry(but thats another thread) i have long said gay people have as much right to be miserable in a marriage just like everybody else.

However Micheal Richards must have put a terrible burden on the creators of Seinfeld as well as jerry, julia, and jason. I have met Jerry before he is really nice and genuinely funny some comedians when you met them their personality's are in direct contrast to their stand up comedy. Jerry seems to be just a generaly funny guy and Jason was nice at least he was when I met him.

It would be interesting to know what Jerry and the creators must have said to richards behind close doors they must have been like "What the Fuck?" it would have been an interest conversation to easdrop on.

If you watch the outakes and bloopers on the dvd's Richards does come off as an asshole i noticed this early on he tends to get mad at julia alot for laughing in the middle of a scene. I mean some the lines on that show were funny it would be hard to deliver some scenes without cracking up.

Lets not forget when Richards was on Laugh In back in the late 70's and early 80's he almost kicked and Kaufmans ass for destroying a scene on a show. Richards needs to lighten up big time its fucking comedy anything can happen if he didn't take himself so seriously he might still have a career because after his comedy store tyraid his career is over.
