what's with this trend? this young kid (maybe 14-16 years old) with is parents and had his name tatooed all over his neck. so i'm thinking, how is this kid ever gonna get a respectable job with his neck like that and why would his parents let him do it?

But seriously, I don't see how they would get like, and office job or something like that. I mean, that sucks but it's true.

I know I would DIE if my kid came home like that.

It's kinda hot on the neck but definitely not the face.

Tattoos are not really such a big deal to many employers anymore and I see plenty of people with 'good' jobs with a tatt peaking thru somewhere.

it depends on the design. for me, the face and neck are a couple of the places on my body that are off-limits to tattoos. i've seen instances where the design is kinda clever...but stuff like full-on tribal designs on one's face and/or neck can be a bit of a problem. if they can afford to have that kinda stuff tattooed on them, i'd say that either they're in a situation where it's okay for them to look like that or, in the worst case scenario, they got it simply because they deem it as cool but didn't really think of how they'll look from an employer's perspective once they get it.

the only neck tattoos i've seen (day to day, that is) are the usual boyfriend's/girlfriend's/children's names done up in cursive. those are fast becoming tied for first place (alongside tribal, kanji and lower-back tats) on my Tattoo Trends I Wish Would Die Off Already list. seriously, they look tacky to me!

If you live in a big city you can get a job despite visible tattoos. It's really not a big thing anymore.

The answer to your question is..He's NOT. People who tattoo their face either need to be set for life financially or get into some sort of "business" wherre that doesn't matter. And do you know where they usually end up? On the street asking for money at 25 years of age. They are already against the system "as evidenced with tattoos on their face" and I am sure most of them have regaled to having others help them and coast through life.

Sorry, I have no time or respect to people who do something to themselves that will purposefully put them out of work. I mean what do they expect other than a life of living on the street.
