Today's question - Idol watching Who's going to watch American Idol?
Is it a guilty pleasure? Will you watch from the beginning to see all the self diluted people who can't sing? Do you care what the judges say? What would your ideal American Idol be like? No More Haters on the Internet.

I want American Idol to fuck off and die for ruining House and stuff.
Fuck you, A.I. This one's for you.

Ugh, I used to absolutely this show, but it was kinda spoiled for me when they prematurely sent Chris Daugherty home last season. Not sure if I'm going to watch the new season or not. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

the first batch of tryouts they're gonna air are the ones they had in minneapolis. the whole week they were here it was kinna sucky, due to the fact i have to walk past the target center (where they had the tryouts) every day on my way to work, and i had to swim through all them bastids congregating on the sidewalk out front while walking around during my lunch break.
i might watch that one episode to see if anyone i know/recognize ended up on there.

The auditions are the best part. It's good therapy for myself, thank goodness they didn't have the show ten years ago when I might have been stupid enough to try it even myself.

can you sing? Hmmm. That's a hard question. Don't bring up my traumas! I think a few years ago, when I gave up my interests in trying to pursue a career in pop music, I just had to admit to myself that I wasn't as good as I had wanted to be. I think I can sing better than most people who think they can sing, but not to as good so that I could be a vocalist on a record on the type of music that I wanted to make then (David Bowie/Prince type of pop music). I never had the natural talent, I think, no matter how much hard work I put into it. It always just fell flat on some parts, and it was incredibly hard to accept that.

Hell yeah I am going to watch it just to hear Simon telling it like it is to some of those obviously non-talented singers.

I agree, it is crap. But it's entertaining crap. I always say I'm not gonna watch it, but by the time they get to the top 5 or so I'm all into it. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Ex-Moderator | it's a guilty pleasure. I'll watch the auditions from Mpls, but then I'll wait till they get down further. I can't take week after week of horrible singing. I feel bad for those people, truthfully. |
