Peter Jackson is ok I guess.

But Joel Silberg really could have done it better. Joel understands how to take urban myth and adventures and transform them into magic on the screen--I don't see why he couldn't do it with Fantasy myth.

Joel Silberg touches hearts and minds, and his characters are not soon forgotten once you've seen one of his movies. shrug

oh ok.

I consider the scene where Erowin(sp?), Liv Tyler's character, forsee's her son staring into her eyes, and the scene where she walks through the forest with the monologue about being "doomed to spend eternity morning him" or whatever, two of the most powerful scenes in cinema.

Is that better? biggrin

I'm totally on the side of Randal Graves in "Clerk 2":

"There's only one 'Return,' OK? And it ain't 'of the King.' It's 'of the Jedi!"
