As I was watching the match between Venus and Serena I kept getting the feeling that Venus' heart was no longer in the game.

Did anyone think Venus looked like she just doesn't want to play tennis anymore?

i can see where one could feel that way,
but i believe that, if you watched her last game,
she (even then) looked a little listless.
(imo) she may just have felt it to be her sisters year,
and hopes to do greater, later.

I wish they could have fun and goof off while they play each other, or tie somehow.

venus won't quit bcause she will do as she is told, but she won't win either till she is told.
serena is the SPOILED younger sister, and venus MUST cater 2 her according 2 THAT family's traditions.
haven't u heard oracine say, Venus done won enuff trophies, it's serena's turn now.
of course that ain't how it works n the real world of sports, but the real world does not dictate 2 this family.
mayb venus IS a stepchild? or a half sister?
but just watch, when serena starts messing up, they'll send venus n 2 clean up the mess.

Serena is that much better. She is mad stronger, has just as much finesse, and actually has a service game.

There is a reason why she was already ranked #1 in the world.
