Anybody who has ever worked with cats will tell you that you'd never raise them for food if you could raise chickens instead. Attempting to slaughter them results in them attempting to slaughter you back.

I've always thought about this when people make their snarkypoo claims about various Asian people eating cats.

Vietnamese eat dogs I believe, but I've never heard of people eating cats.

Every time I mention Chinese food, someone around me always brings up some anecdotal story about a friend of a friend of theirs who knew someone who busted a Chinese restaurant for selling dog meat, etc. etc...

They get their meats and other supplies from same local distributors that many other restaurants use.

They may not eat cats in Thailand, but they juggle them in Mexico.

I can honestly say that they do not eat cats in Thailand as Ive just been there. However, you can see vendors selling locust, ants and all sorts of bugs deep fried. They also east dog in Vietnam. It tastes like beef casserol.

Back on topic. I've never eaten a cat and I don't know anyone here who has. My wife was fed dog once when she was young as some form of Chinese medicine.
