Paris Hilton fills up her tank (non-fiction)

Hey Paris! "E" is for Empty!

Paris Hilton's Bentley ran out of gas in the middle of a busy Hollywood intersection Friday night. "Dude, I've never put gas in this car -- I forgot," Paris told photographers. Are you surprised?

Paris got a helping hand from her friendly neighborhood paparazzi, who pushed her $200K silver 2007 Bentley Continental GTC Convertible to the side of the road. After getting an offer to take refuge in some random guy's house (thanks, but no thanks), a photographer offered to go and get her some gas.

"How much is gas?" Paris asked the photog. Seriously. She gave the guy $20 and sent him on his way. When the photog returned, Paris tossed the change into the backseat. She wasn't sure where the "gas thingy" was, and sat flipping through a scrapbook of some kind while the lensman/good samaritan filled her car with a gallon of gas. She thanked him and gave him ... a smile.

When Paris finally made it home, the paprazzi asked her where she was headed for the night. Paris responded, "To get some gas first." Just another night in the life of Paris Hilton..

If I recall just recently Oprah had forgotten how to pump gas also.

The producers did a segment on that.

C'mon guys for real.

I swear to God, I didn't learn until this summer when me n my husband got seperated. I never even think to look at the tank. He just check my car for me and takes it and fills it when I need it.

No one ever taught me how to do it either, some thing are just better off left for boys to handle.

no. sorry but i know how to change flat tires, change the oil, replace minor fuses and even belts and plugs in some models. i worked as a gas station attendant years ago and i think that every human being (regardless of gender) who drives a car should know basics about repairs for same.

filling the tank with gas is such a no-brainer its scary to think of someone being on the road and not knowing how to do this. for your own safety you really should (imo) learn how to pump your own gas. just my 2c

that's fine. i would never let a limit like that be imposed on me (i.e., i can only drive as far as one tank of gas will permit me to drive) but it is your choice

It's not like I have a limit on how far I can drive. I've never driven far enough at one time to use a whole tank of gas, but if it was necessary for me to get gas, I can manage.

Just saying, don't make fun of Paris, because before I got seperated I never pumped gas, therefore, when I was on my own forgot that cars needed gas, and forgot to check the tank.

And actually, the first couple times I did it, people who were at the gas station helped me, so it's not really a big deal.

sorry. i'd like to stop making fun of a driver who knows nothing about pumping gas but it's simply too ridiculous. it's absolutely an object for mockery! expecially when you consider that paris has little else to do with her time. how hard would it be for her to learn how to do this really, really basic thing?

in fact, here is a special emoticon for people who drive and do not know how to pump their own gas: dunce biggrin
