Ive just never got Little Britain.

Britain hasnt had a decent sketch show since The Fast Show.

I enjoyed "That Mitchell and Webb Look" - but not many people saw it I don't think.

You should watch The Mighty Boosh; that's funny, though not a sketch show.

The Mighty Boosh is total class.Definitely the most creative and original
comedy over the last decade. If you like Little Britain,Mr.Bean then you probably won't like the Boosh.Well worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

I don't either.

I was however a HUGE fan of the movie.

It's like one of my fave movies ever, but I can't watch the show.

You should totally watch the movie.

Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry, and Toad the Wet Sprocket in the background. OMG.

I betcha a lot of the ppl that like the show, never knew it was a movie first.

I think ya like one or the other.

i can appreciate that it's well written and has cult appeal and whatnot, but i can only deal with so much snark until my teeth start to hurt.

i am pretty apathetic to her in anything other than buffy and cruel intentions.

see? i think thats why i don't like her.

i loved cruel intentions, but i'm total reese fan. so i liked reese better, even though sarah had the better character.

then buffy. I LOVE kristy, so of course I'm gonna hate sarah as buffy.

so i kinda just can't watch.

i'm telling ya, you are missing out on one of the best tv shows ever. the first season is lacking, but it suprisingly became one of the most endearing, involving, quirky shows i have ever seen. i have watched it straight through twice, and i am sure in another few years i will do it again.

I'm taking your word for it, and have decided to give it a chance.

woot!

okay, first thing to remember - season 1 is not indicative of the other seasons. season 1 is kinda okay, and must be barrelled through. it was a mid-season replacement, so it's a short season, and they weren't really all that sure of what they were doing in the beginning. season 2 is pretty good, but season 3 is when it really picks up.

excited

i friggin love french and saunders. i even have the audio of the sketch where they were playing opera singers recording kylie's "lucky in love" on my ipod equivilant.

There is a making of "vicar of dibley" tonight I think? They also finished the show this xmas, with a couple of specials.

Its so inoffensive its hard to hate such a show

Royal family is one of the best of recent years, as is "shameless", which is a comedy drama, and a very black one. If you see it, thats what its like where I live LOL

Life on the estates is more rough then where I grew up in a latin neighbourhood in Chicago. Sure, i was very young then, but its a tough life at times where I live.

Actually, I'll tell you something that's funny and that I only just got into (after my brother gave me the first series on DVD for xmas) - 'Peep Show'.

Has anyone else watched this? It basically follows two guys in their lives, much of the time from a first person perspective. We're privy to their thoughts alongside their speech. It's very good. nod

Don't worry. A lot of hardcore Buffy fans hate her too. There's no good to be had in the TwigBitch.

I think it may even have been banned at one point. It was certainly the most reported programme at the time for its apparently offensive content. rolleyes

This part of the wikipedia page I posted is the most important for understanding where the programme was coming from, especially the paedophilia special:

The Daily Star printed an article decrying Morris and the show next to a piece about the then 15-year-old singer Charlotte Church's breasts under the headline "She's a big girl now"[4]. The Daily Mail featured pictures of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, who were 13 and 11 at the time respectively, in their bikinis next to a headline describing Brass Eye as "Unspeakably Sick".

I just found a sketch from Brass Eye on YouTube that is not from the pedophile special, but some other episode... This is actually the first time I've seen this stuff, because I don't remember this show being shown on Icelandic TV, which is strange because we get most of the British comedy shows here and British comedy is really popular here. But anyway, this sketch is called "Random masturbation".... NSFW! NSFW! lol http://www.youtube.com/wa...ed&search=
