1) tell me about your childhood? 2) if you could dive anywhere in the world, where would it be? (beyonce's crotch is not an acceptable answer) 3) do you like bike racing, or diving more? 1. My childhood was pretty happy as it goes, eldest of 4 children although my father was there he was always busy and my bond with him is not as strong as it should be, his own messed up childhood caused him to not be close to us. Hence my grandfather was such an influence in my life. I was pretty sporty and that kept me away from a lot of trouble. All in all it was good but it did take me a while to locate Phil..due to people around me trying to mould me. 2. I have been pretty lucky and dived in most places i have wanted to Egypt,Maldives,Carribean, South Africa, Mauritius and all over Europe and the dream dive i have planned for next year is november in Mozambique for the whale shark migration in the Indian ocean. Either that or for cold water i wanna do Newfoundland for the hump backs but they are not as interactive as the whale sharks plus its freezing and difficult to look cool getting changed with a mangina! 3. Racing is my love. But its different, i dont push my limits diving as i do racing. diving is way more relaxing for me because racing is about winning. If i had to choose....Racing.

1) What do you think about the American orgers?
I think you create too many threads about junk food, American football and TV shows and celebrities I've never heard of. But other than that, you're a fun bunch. I actually think the American orgers, despite the American people's reputation, are the ones that are most respectful of other cultures of us all. The least respectful are the Dutch, with the Brits coming in close second (yes, I'm talking to you, LleeLlee ). With the risk of sounding pompous (as usual), I can handle pretty much any job quite well, and that has always been a problem for me since it's necessary to narrow down one's field of focus and specialize properly in order to get hired. My CV doesn't help in this matter since it's all over the place, and every time I apply for a specific position there's somebody else that has more experience in that particular field. I have a lot of experience as a writer and language "expert" though, and I hope that one day I'll have created such a broad and solid base of skill and knowledge that I'll be able to jump straight into a managerial position, which I know I would handle really well. If that doesn't happen, I'll most likely start up my own business. 3) Overtime, does your list of despised orgers grow or shrink? Or is it that once you've made up your mind, you're pretty much set?
Oh it keeps growing the whole time. It's definitely not set in stone though. I can think of at least a few orgers of whom I've reconsidered my opinion quite drastically. When have I been disrespectful of other cultures?

No. I can't just sit and watch the fireplace, but I can sit outside at a bonfire and have fun. 2) you'ld love to try lesbian sex, wouldnt you? I'd make out with a girl, and I'd fondle a girl, but I'd never go down on a girl, and I don't think I'd be able to let a chic go down on me either. 3) do you yell at your kids..? Sometimes.

Well you sure get a lot of crap thrown your way on here, some of it clearly in jest but not all of it. And even things that are intended to be funny and nothing else can accidentally touch a nerve, so I just wanted to make sure that you're okay. Maybe I can ask jerseykrs this same question? You sure get your share of insults too. 3. T
**MOney* The best thing is the money. That has nothing to do with being 30+. Not in my world anyway. **Respect**
The second best, is respect. Both the respect I get from others, and the respect I give towards others. In my 20's I was still invincible. My body could drink itself into a stupor, and still be ready for work later that morning. When you're young, pretty, and vain, you have no reason to be nice to others. In my 30's I'm very aware of my mortality and the shortness of my years left. Having experience alot of pain, I look for compassion everywhere, and I try to give the same to others. I'm a very different person now than I was just 7 years ago. I hear ya. Respect is very important. We should bear in mind that it's difficult to be a human being. Nobody wants to be ignorant or unsuccessful or what have you; we all do our best with what we have, and that makes us worthy of respect. **Spirituality**
Converting from a smug, comfortable atheist mindset, over to Buddhism has been a blessing. I deal with stress better, and it fulfills a part of me that atheism never did (or my brief sting with Chrstianity and the occult in high school ). But regardless of religious belief, I think spirituality can be obtained as it's sort of an awakening and awareness of your place here on earth. You realize that the daze you've been living in has not made you happy--that happiness requires an awakening in the mind. No, I"m not that "happy hippie" yet, but I'm better off now that I've accepted this in my life. Well I'm glad that it's making you feel better. I've been a spiritual person all my life so I don't know of anything else, but when I try to imagine my life without all that, it gives me an empty feeling. Not because I would have lost something I'm used to and therefore have gotten comfortable with, but because I would have lost something that I truly believe is an integrated part of the true nature of life.

1) do you feel you can be in a long term monogamous relationship with the right person...? no It's not that I'm against it--it's that I'm not comfortable with "Growing" with someone. One of us always outgrows the other, usually I'm the one to leave. 2) A sense of humor is not necessarily a good quality in many of the asian cultures...but you have a great one. Where did you acquire if from? Thank you. Asians love humor and love to laugh. I'm not sure where the perception comes from that we don't. The difference is that I have an American sense of humor. If you've ever listened to two Asians straight off the boat joking around, it's very dorky--you're more likely to laugh at them than their jokes. My sense of humor comes from growing up an Asian with a Dutch last name in Birmingham Alabama during the 80's--you kind of had to see things in a humorous light. 3) Do you want to have kids some day? no. no. no. I love my nephews and appreciate the relationship that I have with them (we're very close), but I would never want kids of my own. I'm impulsive, immature, and have no desire to be relied on fulltime. I simply am not up to the task. It would change me (as parenthood does with anyone obviously), but not for the better I think. And even if it did, I wouldn't want to. [Edited 1/6/07 7:38am]

When have I been disrespectful of other cultures? I knew that would catch your attention. I just didn't expect it to happen so quickly. You haven't been disrespectful per se, but you seem very, very fond of the British culture. So fond, in fact, that it sometimes comes across as slight disdain towards other cultures, more specifically the American one. I'm not trying to tell you how you really feel though, only you know that, but I think us Europeans feel licenced by the current American government's stupidity to be overly cocky about our own cultures, and me you and many others are showing symptoms of that sometimes.

1. Why do you not post your picture? I just don't want to be judged based on how I look, no matter if they think I look good or bad or completely average. 2. What do you like most and least about women?
Most: That they are much more in tune with the true nature of life. Instead of trying to stuff reality into neat compartments like we do, they generally take in the full complexity of human relationships and the things that happen in this crazy world, process it by using both intellect, intution and empathy and respond accordingly. Least: Their taste in men. You can meet a woman that is sensible, sweet and smart in every way, and yet she might go for a complete idiot because he is loud, obnoxious and violent. Not all women are like that of course, but in most I can see at least a hint of that primal confusion where the alpha male gets mixed up with the ultimate asshole. 3. I'm in your top 3 favorite male orgers list, right? (not really a question)

There are better ways to get my attention than making groundless assertions that have no factual evidence to back them up, but instead rely on conjecture and misguided assumptions , but to each his own As a Brit, (forgive me) I'm fond of the multi cultural and largely tolerant society I grew up in, its the one I'm accustomed to and experience on a daily basis. I think you need to distinguish between "culture" and "politics." I'm not fond of current U.S foreign policy but who is? I'm also not fond of Tony Blair's stance on Iraq (yes, he's the British P.M) and I'm not beyond criticising my countries domestic and foreign policy. I'm not a flag waiving nationalist and never have been. I live in london, one of the most culturally diverse cities on earth and thats one of the reasons I love it. I'm tolerant and open minded, I'm also smart enough to KNOW that there is a distinction between American culture in general and the political policies of the American President.
