Wii Anybody?? I just heard and played it for the first time over NYE and day at my friend and her husband's house. I guess they would be considered gamers of sorts especially when spending their free time online playing Warlocks, or whatever that world is called.
So we had dinner NYE and things were winding down around 10pm, which is sad for us early to mid 30 somethings. Then my friend asked if I had ever played Wii. We? What? Never heard of it. So finally her husband plugged it up, moved the furniture. I didn't know why it was necessary at the time. Then placed the strap around the wrist and started playing Wii Sports: bowling, tennis, baseball and golf. Boxing was included but we didn't play. So I got really into it, broke sweat, moved alot more than ever when playing a video game. It got really competitive, and I had a great time. That livened up the night and kept us wide awake for hours. Monday when I woke up, I was a little sore. I didn't expect that. We played that afternoon for about 2.5 hours. Then when I woke up on Tuesday, and the whole right side of my body from shoulder to hips and left butt cheek was sore. That was really a workout. Has anybody ended up sore after playing Wii? Are there other interactive games besides sports? "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

That is the sort of story Nintendo want to read LOL. People who probably don't usually play video games (i have no idea if you do play video games often), giving them a go and actually having fun with it.
I want to get a Wii and a DS (a handheld made by the same company, Nintendo). Hardcore gamers want a PS3 of x-box 360, but if they are serious enough about games in general, could probably afford a Wii aswell, as they are pretty cheap.

I just played it last night.
I bought my newphews a Walmart "Wii card" because it was out of stock before Christmas. Well, they received a shipment this week. We snatched it up, brought it home, and played the shit out of it. It's fun as hell, and I'm not even big on video games. My only gripe is that Wii Sports "boxing" sucks.

I played tennis and baseball for about 10 hours straight...my arm was a bit sore later...
Ok now they need to come out with ankle sensors and kickboxing and virtual hackeysack. HOO RAH.

I bought an old school joystick with built-in games like Galaga, Ms. Pac Man, and Pole Position. The most I could get from that is carpal tunnel.
