hehe, first thing i thought of was Supa.

interview man: "so you're demure and quiet and fit to be a librarian?"

supa: "yes sir!"

interview man: pulls out the infamous 'vamp on the stairs' pic

lol

falloff

And that is where my interview really takes off

I'm just a sweet transvestite, from transexual...Puuhuuhrince.org

yeah, but Tim Curry is a tough act to follow. He put out a solo albume. "Hide This Face" is on it. There's a photo of him on the cover behind a chain link fence. He's a fantastic vocalist.
Can't find it anywhere.
So depending on what type of job you're after, the internet could be a good thing.....?

i cant believe you all aren't aware of business practices right now...or are shocked and/or offended that they are doing it.

guess what folks, what's online is "public" information...its time we all deal with it...thats the reason why i've had to resign from moderating and participating in the p&r forum...its too risky for me. Here's an article that affected our race. Our opponents staff person kept an online diary that the reporters got a hold of. This girls political career is over. She will never get a job because of it.

and how do employers find the info? real easy in most cases...the number one offender is your personal email address. i would recommend keeping a personal one and a work related email address (preferably something easy like conservative like your name). My friend works for a non-profit and she was sharing with me the nightmares of hiring and how so many people use skanky email domains. One girls email was hotmommafun@yahoo.com (or something like that).

(The email is where I got busted and the reason why i have to be careful were I post...)

Anyhoo, folks...business owners have a right to research as thoroughly as possible. Sure your privacy is your privacy but what gets posted on the internet is not private.

On a positive note: You can sue a previous employer if they share negative information about you to new employer prospects. Because of this personal and professional refers are kind of a waste now. And thats why business owners are getting crafty in how they find out about you.
Space for sale...

Some teachers have lost their jobs because of myspace photos that are discovered to present them as bad role models (smoking, drinking, etc)

The other alternative is to keep your shameful and weird activities off-line, I guess...hmmm
