These people also realize that USA's roots are deeply seeded into "race issues" which can be seen outside every house's doorstep.

Folks can deny that all they want to, it doesn't vanish its existence.

just because SOME issues are, in fact, race issues does not mean everything is a race issue. the stupid show is supposedly about diverse lifestyles coming together to give a perspective. with that in mind, isn't everybody on the show a "token" who is there to provide their perspective?

WHAT! You dont own Joy's 'SHITZAKAAKAAPOOPOO' book?! lol lol

You need it for your shrine! Oh and Star's book! razz

I'm with you on tv pleasures...The Office (my fav), Runway (more than a guilty pleasure), Top Chef, Houswives, View, Nip/Tuck and now DIRT and UGLY BETTY are also new favs!

Sherri needs to hurry up and send them DVD's to us! It would be the highlight of my MLK holiday weekend! That and re-watching my Tivo'd VIEW from the week...I do my own version of best week ever..yup all by myself...crazy and pathetic but as Miranda in SEX AND THE CITY once said 'Hey...it's my thing..do not judge me!'

BETTY is such a great show, great message and America Ferrer is so adorable...and Eric Mabius is so HOT..and Vanessa Williams plays the perfet villan..she really found her acting niche here!

NIP/TUCK...as Rosie says..really is one of the best shows ever...great cast, supurb writing...it's dramatic, comedic, suspensful...all the makings of a great show. Ro's character Dawn Budge was brilliant...funny as hell and sad at the same time!

Have not watched..but my brother is all over that show...for some reason everyone I know who obsesses over LOST really got hooked to this show...I think it has a Geek factor to it (no disrespect to my geeks out there...) I will probably check it out when Bravo does NBC show marathons from time to time..or DVD

i was with lost on dvd when season 1 came out. it was marginal but interesting. then i started watching season 2 and grew to hate it. on dvd it plays decently cause you dont have to wait. waiting an entire week and then not a damn thing happens, no resolutions week after week really kills that show. and i hate that new characters keep appearing all the damn time.

it lost me.

Thats why I never bothered. Now they've been on a 2-3 month hiatus and leaving fans hanging (even if that) and changing up cast members and story lines. Too much to deal with. Their ratings have dropped significantly too.

This was the case with 'Housewives' season 2...I love this show but it did lose its way last season with unresolved plotlines throughout. But Marc Cherry pulled in the reins and it is now better than it has ever been! That supermarket shootout was insane! Brilliant writing!

STUDIO 60 was another show I checked out (cuz I loves my Matty Perry) but damn that show got boring FAST!

I think i need to read more!

i got into Lost last year and gave up already this year exactly for the reasons you've stated...i guess twin peaks is such a fan fav because it didn't last long enough for folks to get fed up with it.

nod

part of the reason i love british tv is the season consits of 6 episodes and seasons are only put on when they have good material, rather than scraping the bottom of the barrell to fill the contracted time slot every week for years and years the way american tv does.

So I've heard...it's on Thursdays which is a busy TV night..Office, Earl, Betty, The View (Tivod), Oprah (yep...her too..new eps only), but I do like Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin...seems this show is getting better every week. Entertainment Weekly gave it a 'Second Chance' review and said it was really funny....

I promised myself to watch little TV this year..but its too hard!

baldwin is the best he has ever been on rock. tina fey and tracy morgan and that other blond from ally mcbeal (not portia) are really good.

the only not famous one on the show that does it for me though is the page. he's friggin awesome on it.
