A lifetime goal met accidentally. I've given up smoking.
I didn't mean to, it just happened.

lolz. same here. i haven't had a cigarette since december 25.
i ran out on xmas day and couldn't get any new ones and the next few days i was so busy i just kinda forgot. now it's been 10 days so i guess there's no point in trying to convince myself that i need a cigarette since i obviously don't. lol. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

What usually happens when I go home from school is that my smoking amount cuts drastically since I'm home where I can't smoke. This year I was also totally broke so I couldn't afford any anyways, so I've ended up not smoking since December 13th. I then started work and got a little bit of money. The boredom of work coupled with some money made me buy a pack yesterday, and I had one cigarette and got a way-too-powerful rush - but I hadn't smoked in ages so this was normal. Then I had another sometime later and felt awful, headaches, rank test...eugh - disgusting. I threw the pack away and I really don't want cigarettes now. The likelihood is though that being back at school will tempt be back (sometimes a different atmosphere just seems to need to be smoked in ), and also drinking in pubs poses a big problem. We'll see. I'd rather not smoke.

I'd rather not smoke. yeah, i know what you mean. i've avoided going out too. drinking without smoking is the hardest part. i always lie to myself, you know "oh well, i'll just have a few with some drinks on the weekend". don't fool yourself, it won't work for more than two weeks. by that time you'll be puffin away during the week just the same. i've been smoking a pack a day for the last 8 years and i've quit a few times, ranging from 3 days to 5 months. i've now got to the point where i will light up after two months and nearly pass out. yet still keep smoking, lol. the first one makes me gag, the second one is just about killing me. the third one makes me throw up. but the fourth goes down a bit better and by the 5th or 6th i feel like i'm fucking robert de niro again. that's how sick it gets when once really hooked. if you're able to leave it alone at all, than do. it only gets worse and worse after every failed attempt. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I gave up for a year then went back. I've always aimed to give up smoking by university otherwise I fear I'll be doing it for life. I never get cravings. Nor did my mum. It's weird. Never had a single craving for a cigarette...what makes me smoke is atmosphere and habit - especially at school where you have to pick times to smoke to avoid being caught and then it becomes regimented and habitual...like some kind of tradition...just like going to a lesson in school. That's what keeps me smoking...I also like to smoke when I walk around; gives me something to do while I drift off thinking whilst listening to music.

Wow, actually typing the number 26 is making me realize how OLD I am. I remember when I was like 17 and hanging out with 26 year olds for they're tap. MAN.
