Mine - had a few drinks at a completely packed pub in the city, danced on stage while the band sang "Her name is Charlotte, and she is funky" then the air-conditioning broke and everyone was sweaty like you wouldn't believe

BUT at the end of the night we found out our video camera got stolen, so it all ended on a sour note.

Stayed home. Rented some movies, bought pizza, chips and pop.

Hung out on the org. Chatted in the chat room until it suddenly croaked.

I went to the Motherfucker party I posted on the other thread. There were way too many people there--and lots of half naked dancers on pedestals. What a spectacle. Had a few drinks, stayed for a total of four hours then I went home.

I drank too much beer and was in bed by 10:30, but I woke up around 11:52 to watch the ball drop and all that jazz.

Despite my being ill, I made it to Darin's and it turned out I was the first person there. With the snow, roads were AWFUL and friends waited 3 hours to get a cab.
I drank my sparkling cranberry juice and helped play bartender for my friends. Shortly after midnight I left for home and was sound asleep by 1.
I have an invitation for breakfast, mimosas and movies all day at another friend's house today.

Everybody always seems to plan their new year's eve far far in advance in this country, so there's no room for the kind of sponteneity that I like. Because of this I often end up as the fifth wheel in somebody else's pre-set plans, but this year I missed the train altogeher and ended up watching Dr Strangelove on tv at my grandma's place. She spent the whole evening complaining about her life and I never even got to see the end of the movie since it ended five minutes after the stroke of midnight!

my sister has two couches... they both hogged one to themselves and slept all night...had to wake them up for the countdown
...my "friends" didn't invite me anywhere because they thought i would have been busy... fuck'em!!!

but i was on the phone all night with bg909 until 4am
i got up at 8:30 (about an hour and a bit ago) to babysit...

this year doesn't seem so "new"

Me and my friends Dino and Sylvia salsa danced and drank cocktails on a beach in Thailand.

My sister and I went to see Robert Randolph at Starland Ballroom in NJ... had a BLAST!!!

While we were waiting for the concert to begin, they played "RAVE unto the Year 2000" on the big screens!!! Bonus!
