"The Flintstones" Appreciation Thread

I love this cartoon, and used to watch it every day after school when I was growing up. Does anybody else enjoy this cartoon as much as I do? What was your favorite episode and/or memory of this show?

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I didn't really like the show until Bam-Bam showed up. Then again I hated the Honeymooners.

Loved it too Nancy!!! Any episode with the Great Gazoo (voiced by Harvey Korman) was awesome. However, I think the show really jumped the shark once Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm came onto the scene.

Many don't realize that the Flinstones was the first cartoon to air as a prime time network show.

giggle Bam Bam was cute the way he would take his little club and beat it on everything.

The Honeymooners was a show with Jackie Gleason. The actor who did Fred Flintstone's voice was a man named Alan Reed. It's kinda strange how similar their voices were. I was recently watching a rerun of "The Honeymooners", and thought to myself how Jackie's voice sounded very much like Alan's.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Oh yeah, Gazoo, I remember that guy! He was always getting Fred and Barney out of trouble. giggle

I never knew that Harvey Korman did his voice or that the Flintstones were the first to air as a prime time network television show.

The Flinstones is loosely based on "The Honeymooners"

Right but you do know that The Flintstones was a take off of the Honeymooners.

OMG, really? How interesting, thanks for the link. I never knew that. No wonder Jackie and Alan's voices are soooo similar.

I like the episode when Barney banged Wilma and they got caught by Fred. Then he took them on The Maury Show to find out if he was Pebbles father. That shit was funny!

A friend of mine has a whole video tape of 50s TV commercials with the Flintstones promoting Winston cigarettes. In one of them Fred and Barney are having a smoke behind the house while avoiding lawn work and hiding from Betty and Wilma...I kid you not.

Who was the moron who cast Rosie O'Donnell as Betty? Betty was nice and slim, not an annoying blob - I'm like, WTF?

When I was a kid, Ch.5 in NYC used to show back-to-back episodes on Sundays at 11am. An hour of Fred & Barney - oh, yeah!!!
